Dominion - Incredible Movie

5 posts in this topic

This is one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen. I couldn't find a thread where this movie was discussed, so... here it is.

I also found it to be of great value for people who are transitioning from Orange to Green.

The cruelty towards animals on our planet is absolutely beyond any possible verbal description.

In a materialistic and rationalistic worldview that honors neither consciousness nor individual experience, we deny animals both. This leads to absolutely unimaginable amounts of suffering, created by our ignorance and unwillingness to see the world as a part of us, not apart from us.

Although most people in the west seem to understand on a conceptual level that we human beings are also animals, we don't feel ourselves to be part of the great family of life on this planet. Our unrestrained rational intellect inflates our human hubris until we run amok - torturing, poisoning and killing billions upon billions of beings that we regard as inferior to us.

Out of all the animals whom we deny consciousness - it is us, who have the least of it.

I have seen this a few years ago. It is pretty awful.

We are a young species, may we learn how to respect ourselves.

The nearest movie I watch similar to this is Earthlings. It was a nice movie for those carnivores going vegan =))

@Rayster I remember about 7-8 years ago or so, I made myself watch this movie. I could only stand 20 minutes, then I had to stop. So much pain, I felt extremely misanthropic at this time. Huge reason why I went vegan at some point.

I don't like violence and gore as well, esp for sensitives. But yeah, its one of those reason why I also went vegan after Health is concern.
