Important Psychological Concepts?

5 posts in this topic

Hey there,

I want to study psychology and have an in-depth understanding of the mind and of emotions in order to master happiness. What are the most important concepts that I should search for and learn? If someone has a list like:

  • Subpersonalities
  • Shadows
  • Anima, animus
  • Etc.

I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

@Raphael I think that list would get super long. And it also really depends on where you are right now and what is stopping you from experinceing " happiness".

What is happiness? What do you want to get to? Do you want to understand everything or only to experience happiness yourself?  What is stopping you from experinceing happiness?

Answer those, and we'll try to help you (:

@SamC

The question is voluntary broad so that I can get a huge list and then pick some concepts that I would find interesting. I'm assuming that the goal of psychology is to understand human behavior in order to improve happiness of everyone and that any concept will be linked.

This is about understanding me, but also about understanding all human behaviors.

Zizek teaches Lacan too
