If I'm hanging out with a bunch of super-models, I'm a 2 in the looks department. But if I'm at Walmart at 3am in my hometown, I'm a solid 11. 

But I think 5 or 6 is the most accurate in comparison to other women who are about my age. I'm pretty average or slightly above. But average is good. I can't complain.

@Emerald You have an organic quality of beauty to you. It appears natural and effortless.

I'd take that over the rigid, heavy investment look that most girls unfortunately feel pressured to accomplish these days.

If someone has to try too hard to get or maintain a certain look, that might communicate a lot of other things that could questionable.

Ha! I don't share my picture here because I know it will distort my image and therefore my message. I try to keep my message as clean & neutral as possible.

Looks are extremely important.

But here's the thing; Most women aren't aware of how they're attracted to looks because they tend to lump everything together. So, of course, they tell you that looks aren't their top priority, when in fact looks can be a game-changer. I think that attraction works the same for men and women, in the big picture.

One thing for sure is that attraction does not work in a rational manner where you can logically discuss priorities with yourself and sort them alphabetically, and then according to value, and then logically sort out exactly what you want and exclude some things, and compromise some things for others, etc... Attraction is extremely subtle and deeply unconscious that you'd have to have an eagle-eyed awareness to see what's really going on.

Good looking guys/girls have it easier, and there's no doubt about that. Being handsome is a gift, not even exclusively in the dating world, and being ugly is a handicap. Why? I would say because subconsciously, good looks translate into safety, prosperity, health, hygiene, good social circle, high status (or at least not low), etc... All of which translate into value, which is appealing to everyone, not only women, because humans are value-driven creatures. As opposed to bad looks, which translate into trouble, illness, poverty, danger, low status, low standards of living, etc...

But, of course, you can have good looks and not know how to use them. You can waste your value if you're not aware enough/if you have self-image problems. You can be handsome but stupid. And none of that is exclusive to men. I know some girls who have decent looks, but ruin them with their lack of self-esteem. I get turned off by low self-esteem girls, no matter how beautiful/attractive they are.

Women are not sexually aroused in the same way as guys. They are not aroused by visuals alone. They are attracted to powerful personality and presence and leadership. They are attracted when the guy is good at pumping up her emotional state and making her feel like a girl. Women are emotional creatures. A photo of the biggest dick in the world will not make her excited. You must pump up her emotional state first. The silent James Bond approach will not get you laid. You must be chatty, playful, and extroverted. You need to play with her.

Your looks are a great advantage -- they get your foot in the door -- but getting your foot in the door is NOT closing. Learning to close makes or breaks your whole lay count. If you are good-looking but have no clue how to close, you'll get laid less then ugly guys who know how to close.

Also... attraction is also not seduction. You can get attraction pretty easy but then you must lay on the seduction until she's horny. A women does not get horny instantly like a guy. You need to guide her into it and manage all the logistics so sex can happen. You absolutely cannot count on women to handle the logistics. Learning to handle logistics like a champ is the #1 key to getting laid consistently.
