I'm not closely following american politics or the events happening right now but I just read a couple of pages of this thread.

Can someone enlighten me why Mike Pence was the target of so much anger from the people storming the capitol building?

Yeah! I was going you ask you what you thought about Joe Rogan opinions about Biden vs. Trump were. I too thought that he was going too far with his criticisms on Biden. He even criticized Harris too much for having been too "ruthless" of a prosecutor and not being trustworthy enough. His complaints with both Biden and Harris were indeed similar to those of what both Krystal Ball and Saagar Injeti said in their Rising show. In fact, here is this one video I watched several months were Krystal and Saagar were telling some raw truth about Biden back in March: 

Looking back, I now don't like that Rising did that vid. I really think it that vids like that were a mistake for the public to watch.

Everyone who harps on how bad Joe Biden is, is wrong. Because Biden is not being considered in a vacuum. He's being considered next to a morally depraved wannabe dictator.

I don't doubt that Sagaar and Joe Rogan voted for Trump, and Krystal didn't vote at all. And their audiences followed their lead. That's what idiocy looks like.

If people like Krystal, Sagaar, Rogan, and Jimmy Dore were in charge, and they had the choice between Hitler and Biden, they would criticize Biden and elect Hitler because at least Hitler is anti-establishment. That's how moronically anti-establishment they are. I'm tired of hearing their anti-establishment bullshit. Whatever you say about Biden, he is a league better than Trump. And if your worldview doesn't make that clear to you, your worldview sucks. Enough bullshit. People are getting needlessly killed.

I'm all for Bernie, but when he democratically loses you get behind Biden and like it.

@Leo Gura I completely trust Biden. He comes across as the most sane individual so far. So I'd say he is far better than most, even Bernie.

It's really is ridiculous. It only takes a reasonable amount of common sense and a normal sane mind to realize that a normal guy like Biden beats an fascistic freak who absolutely either needs to be put into some sort of mental institution or in some kind of prison.

Joe Rogan has a lot more knowledge and a better understanding of certain areas or fields than most people do such as business, success, discipline, comedy, combat, sports, fitness, diet, Hollywood culture, etc. Though, he's doesn't seem that smart when it comes to politics and probably doesn't know much about anything pertaining to highbrow subjects like science, math, literature, in-depth social science, Economics, Philosophy, Fine arts, Architecture, Engineering, etc.

I believe in whatever people can democratically handle at the moment.

This is not an ideology for me. You must work with the reality on the ground, not your wishes.

Bernie was unable to democratically win. The end.

That's not to say it can't be tried again next election. But you can only be as progressive as the majority of people are willing to accept. You must meet people where they are at, not where you're at.

Just like how MAGA is in denial that Trump legit lost, progressives are in denial that Bernie legit lost. They both make excuses because they live in fantasyland and refuse to acknowledge reality. Ideology makes one blind to reality.

there was a debate over whether or not Hank would of been a Trump supporter. He was turned off from voting for Bush due to his weak handshake so I think the general consensus is no, Hank would not be MAGA.

As far as Joe Rogan, the amount of respect I've had for the guy has been plummeting over the past year or two. I'm all for having a dialog with diverse political voices, but the fact that he can't see the harm of giving a platform to someone like Alex Jones is troubling... That and the false equivalencies he sometimes draws between Biden and Trump, and some of the Conspiracies over Covid he's been parroting... And thing is this is probably more on me for not being cognizant to this aspect of Rogan's personality earlier, as I don't think he's substantially changed over the past few years so much as the world has changed, and some of the problematic aspects of Rogan are more readily apparent...
