It aint a Coup, its a child with its tantrum. The tantrum is even justified, only not for the premesies by which the babies reason.

Its a reaction which will only further strengthen the evildoing of U. S. political institutions, in that they become object for solidarity which by extention heightens their approval all around.

In a few years when those whose tantrums can be justified also by those having them is storming the capitol you'd see they'd be equated with those of these times, thus having a harder time reaching out and reaching their goals.

This might be the most frustrating historical misconception I come across semi-frequently, both for how pervasive it is, and also how easily verifiable it is to debunk this claim. That and completely misunderstanding the reasons for the rise of a regime that led to the deaths of 70 million people is profoundly dangerous.

This is the problem with humor, sarcasm, and being too cute. It easily becomes an ego-defense mechanism.

It does, unfortunately.
He is surely not aware of the effect it has. It can be weaponized so easily.

But I think he is consciously choosing to use his humor as a tool to trigger suspicion in power structures while playing innocent and neutral.
It looks to me that this is his intent. Might be wrong.

There is also the obvious fear around free speech and "controlling the narrative" that fuels it.

Oh maybe they mean in terms of curtailing their freedom of speech like they banned Trump from Twitter. Maybe that's what they're referring to as a nazi move. 

Frankly, putting a ban on hate or violence incitement is not exactly infringing constitutional freedom of speech. 

Nazi = against natural freedoms. (constitutional freedoms) 

Leftist = against Misuse of natural freedoms and clamping down on destructive freedoms. 

 

If by Nazi they mean the behavior of Antifa, then there is some legitimacy there. 

However Antifa does not really represent the Left. It's the far end of the left which is hijacked and corrupted by violent extremists. 

Let's face it.. 

When the Left does violence, it's usually burning buildings to prove a point. To create sensation.. 

When the Right calls for violence, it calls for annihilation of certain groups of people who they don't deem worthy of existence. 

The comparison of the  Right to something like Antifa is a joke because Antifa is not in your face everyday pumping you up whereas the Right is pretty much ubiquitous in their hate propaganda brigade, for example Trump.

They are radicals, and they are problematic, but they are not similar to Nazis and there is no serious threat from them taking over the government. They are mostly a reaction against the excesses of Trumpism.

The dangers of radical stage Green people is very different from radical stage Red/Blue/Orange people.

Of course Antifa still needs to be monitored for illegal activity. Any illegal activity no matter which side must be dealt with swiftly and fairly.

Protesting is fine as long as it is legal and peaceful. Lynch mobs will never be acceptable.
