Fitting into my own believes?

6 posts in this topic

Okay, so my mind creates reality and there is nothing else but me in my own bubble, for example when I think of someone, it is nothing more but a belief. And when I think/believe that someone thinks/believes in this or that way, it is actually just an assumption/belief I create. There is nothing real about it.

So when I try to behave in a certain way because I think that this is the way I would be approved by someone, is it actually I’m just fitting in with my own imagination? Because how do I know what exactly that person thinks or believes?

Do I make any sense?

I think I've been grasping the understanding of my mind creating the reality and that everything that does not come into my direct experience is purely believing. Even the next room in my house is a belief because well, I’m not there and I can’t see it. I only imagine it to be there.

So when I think of other people and how to be a person they may like… it’s actually just believes? So wtf am I doing if not trying to fit into my own created assumptions and believes???

There is something real about it, it is a collection of thoughts/ feelings in conciousness constructing a narative about a person.
You are making sense, a room that you are not sensing is just a belief, on another level even the idea that there is something called a "room" is a belief, there is really only Presence. Making distinctions can be useful, but it is always more mind. This is why there must be some kind of surrender in order to be with Presence.

The how is what you build, the why is in your heart.

Solipsism is far far far away from truth :)

Investigate what is "my mind", can you find it somewhere in the direct experience.
"you create your own reality" is amazing pointer, but who are you?

@Intraplanetary The realization leaves you completely free to create the life of your dreams, love people unconditionally, and be and love yourself to the fullest in the moment, whatever that looks like right now.

Do I sound as if I was solipsising? I don't really know much about this philosophy at all btw.

What is my mind? I feel that when meditating I get a better feel of what's my mind. It's an empty space in with thoughts and feelings floating around.

But I think that's the wrong understanding... maybe my mind is everything there is in my direct experience?

Pardon me. I've misread "there is nothing else but me in my own bubble" as "only my own bubble exists and nothing else".

Spot on. Thoughts and feelings is made out of that empty space (or nothingness, or God's Infinite Being). There is no separate entity called "my mind".

Good realizations ?
