The Power of Not Knowing (video)

8 posts in this topic

Often as a seeker, whats most attractive is finding out whats REALLY going on, what God is and a promises that are unconsciously attached to such notions.  Notions such as you will have THE answers, ALL the answers, you'll be the One who knows, you'll be SAFE or FREE from suffering, because you become God or something other then you already are.  And while yes something along those lines may occur so to say in unique ways, you may never learn to be ok with Not Knowing, The Unknown, and the challenges that come from such, if you will.  This video is a tribute to this beautiful aspect of Ourselves, an intrinsic part of Life so to say.

So, the thing is to navigate more in the "not knowing" and thus facilitating to not react instantaneously to things?

@Mu_ Your video was great!!  Thank you so much for sharing it!  That is such a good point - if we think we know something, then we may react a certain way but if we don't know anything, then we can just take it in with little to no reaction - because we can't really ever know everything, we can take the mindset that we don't fully know anything - so we can appreciate not fully knowing and try to catch ourselves when we are being reactive.

You're a great speaker too!

Ya, and in time, after catching ourselves time and time again believing we knew, only to find out our first reaction wasn't as we thought it was, it creates a inner humbleness.  We may naturally pause before speaking and instead of jumping to conclusion we may inquire for clarity or give the benefit of the doubt to the other before reacting.
