Software Sales as a career path

Hello guys, 

Is there anybody here who work in sales(specificly in software field) who can give me opinions and share some ideas  on what is like working this job and what to expect.

I have few courses about sales, but zero experiance, ive choosed software(tech) sales because of the potential career and financial growth.

I am considering to change my current job, which is logistic specialist, because its not exciting for me and i cant see any impact that i am having.
