@Rilles I like the video you shared, she has a really good way to explain this... But what I'm noticing is you will want to do the full set of exercises, which she isn't doing here.  And in the official explanation video, he says that it's important to do the exercises in order, because it pushes neurons up into the spine.

Aha... I see. I will thoroughly learn this method then!

Today is day one.

No coffee this year. Jasmine tea is okay. But I want my body to be as neutral as possible when I do these exercises and coffee makes me anxious.

Want to learn some basic Asanas this year. I learned touching my toes in a week, which is pretty amazing.

Day 1

30 mins.

Feet and legs buzzing with energy. Almost to the point where it felt like my feet were going to start moving on their own.

Realized my whole body is holding tension. Its really hard to let that go even when I'm relaxed, guess you could call it a "core-tension".

Day 2

20 minutes.

Getting a full sense of my feet is getting easier, I only need to sense them and I can feel all of the parts in about 2 seconds. Progress! Toes need some work though.

Noticed subtle dull aches in legs and back I wasnt aware of before I started the meditation. Almost like little knots.

Ever since I was a teenager I've been afraid of being tired during the day. I hated being low-energy and socially anxious. Once I found coffee it was like heaven opened up!

Unfortunately after a few years I realized how anxious it made me, sometimes to the point of changing my thoughts towards dark worries about death and impermanence, not in a positive contemplative way, just anxious.

I have quit coffee many times throughout the years. Coffee-free at the moment for about a month I have finally realized I would rather be sleepy than anxious. Its just not worth the extra anxiety. Not when youre an HSP with GAD like myself.

I tried the TRE the other night. There was the shaking you see in the videos, and then some kind of trembling in my groin area that felt like electric currents running up. This is where I hold the most tension, very painful. I am noticing less pain right now.  Also I wanted to say if you have trouble getting the shaking, do it after leg weights exercises. Like if you go to the gym, the best time to try this would be right after you get home from leg day.

Also, I like this idea of slowly gaining full body awareness and recording your steps. Have you tried yoga nidra?

I dont go to the gym atm but I will try to exert myself more next time I do TRE.

Yeah, thats pretty much the goal of my practice, to bring consciousness into my body, or to be specific, become aware of the awareness already there, I'm stuck in my head 99% of the time so it can't hurt.

I've heard about it but never tried it.

@Rilles yoga nidra, from my own interpretive understanding, can teach you to lay still with full body awareness without mentally falling asleep. This can used as a spring board for astral projection or shifting into a lucid dream dimension.

Here's is a good series.

Thanks, man! Yoga Nidra looks exciting, will definitely try it out! I also want to learn Astral Projection but it seems kinda terrifying tbh! xD

Day 3✅

20 minutes

Extreme buzzing energy in lower body when keeping my legs completely still. Almost like a field of energy, couldnt tell my two legs apart, it was like they were one field or in a cocoon, very cool. Kind of felt like they were asleep but I know they werent, probably just concentrated to the brim with awareness.

Upper body is difficult to feel, will work more on it.
