Does meditation help you get rich?

7 posts in this topic

Will meditation help me escape wage slavery, earn money, succeed ?

Or would meditation just take time away from perusing business?

I can't motivate myself to meditate, because I mostly care about money at this stage of my life ... could meditation help me earn money?

Maybe if meditation = less procrastination better focus >> that would translate into being rich

The issue is working or doing business leads to direct financial rewards, meditation it's hard to pinpoint how long it will take to reap the benefits, so it's very hard to see if it's worth it. I need short term benefits that translate into more money (better focus ect..) too otherwise I won't be motivated to meditate

Indirectly it might do so, yes. By making you more focused, less stressed etc you can work more efficiently and so forth.

But it might also make you realize that being rich isn't necessarily a desirable goalxD

Everything is a byproduct of focus.

Steve Jobs went to India and practiced meditation for 7 months before returning to America.

So yeah as Tim said, not necessarily 1:1, but if you meditate and then get to reading/watching/listening to business, sales, marketing, economics, psychology and self improvement content, it definitely can be a massive catalyst.

Meditation is like exercise for the mind and by having amazing focus one can truly achieve anything. Although you can "meditate" doing anything:
Sports

Sitting
Reading
Talking

It's just about extreme presentness and getting lost in the now, there are moments of "non meditation" where we are TOTALLY meditative and moments of "meditation" where we are the exact opposite, meditation is really a state of mind you can apply to ALL activity in just being present and doing your 100% best. You can meditate:
Standing in line at the store

Picking up garbage
Answering your phone

There is a reason a lot of the monks clean so much!

Meditation helps with everything. Than again - if you're not motivated and see the benefits you won't do it.. cause the point with meditation is not to make more money, it's to become happier. Therefor - look at this below to get a good case to meditate???

Why do you want to earn money? Probably cause you belive that if you make X amount of money you will be happy, fulfilled and enough, but do you see what you did there?

You asked will meditation help me get more money. And the answer is indirectly yes... but you didn't ask - will meditation make me happier more fulfilled. Eventhough that's what you seek thourgh earning more money.

It's nothing wrong to want to make money - it's a necessity for life and survival and it get's you cool stuff. Go and pursue it if that's what you want.. but also pursue happiness/ stillness cause when you're happy - you will get more money, be more energetic and of corse - be even happier when you get the money?.

If you meditate daily for 1 year, Santa will come to your door with a bag of money. Merry Christmas.

@Striving for more Of course. Law of attraction says that if you really believe that you can get something, you’ll get it. The problem is, most people have limiting beliefs that tell them that they can’t have the money they want. Once those beliefs are weakened (through meditation) then you can be almost certain that you will get it.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie
