Agree, the ego is all, if you remove the ego , the nothingness remains, but the nothingness is you...the ego is a gift, the world of colors and shapes is wonderful. 

But most of people when they say ego they mean the mental talking, the concept, memories. This ego isn't wonderful at all!

The ego is not the self. It is false identification with the self. You can be awake, navigating the self, free from ego. Enlightenment and the ego cannot coexist.

Oneness will lead to strange loops and paradox.

The ego is an illusion.  (Remember the ego assumes a subject-object duality).  But when you have God realization you will hit a non-dual state of consciousness and become conscious that all is One and all is designed by God the One.  

The ego is the One in form.

The Shapeshifter's true form is empty, but it can take any form.

So the catch is you must dissolve form and become formless to realize Truth.  Then its all good.  That's liberation.  Till then you are sleeping.

Ego is the illusion of the impossible that has seemingly happened.

Ego is virtual murder of God.

Ego is the non-existence which looks like existence.

Ego does not have a stable structure as it always feels threatened by the Truth as well as by its own alienations.

Yet the ego is God nonetheless.  Thus it is also Love.  This will break the mind of the ego.  But the mind of the ego is finite and dual.  God - that which is Absolute - is One.  So from the highest vantage point - pure Oneness - the ego is God.

The ego is the gift that you gave to yourself. But you are greater than your gift. You are the giver.

There will be a day when you can look from 'above' the ego, and see for what it truly is. When you see your gift, your ego, you will love it. That will be your gift. It will be the gift that will point you to the giver.

Maybe there's a definition problem here. I use Tolle's definition, which is that ego is simply the state of identifying with the conditioned mind. The moment you realize that you are not your mind, the ego disappears. Of course, when you fall back into misidentification, the ego is back.

You can still have a conditioned mind, without ego, if you don't identify with it. All of us have been conditioned by life, and learning unconditional love is usually a lifelong process.

Conditioning always exists, unless we die. The same is not true for ego, at least not as I define it.
