Well most people are already doing that@Gesundheit They alreasy know it, consciously or subconsciously. This guy Connor is just sharing his thoughts. Even if it's sounds quacky and arrogant but if you listen to him it doesn't.

I wasn't implying his way of relating to people. I guess if it's working then it's fine. But there seems to be something inside him that he can't let go of that makes him wanna tell everyone that he's God. It seems like celebrating some achievement in a video game or something, only to an extreme degree.

The whole point is to show off his knowledge. If the girl does not have much clue, then clearly they won't last long term. 

The guy think he's gaming the girl. But the girl is also gaming along and letting him do the talking.

Well, yeah

Anyway, at first I thought it was really cringy, but I have to say, I like the way he's just messing around with this stuff. I'm pretty sure that the majority of the people think he went completely insane (especially those who don't know about spirituality), but this doesn't seem to bother him. In fact, he goes out and messing with it without harming anyone. This is pretty cool.
