There is only evil so the good could be known

9 posts in this topic

I just had a nice little epiphany.

You probably witnessed spiritual folks preaching about how there is no right or wrong, no good or evil, no this or that. Most of them, however, fail to clarify how and why exactly that is. At least in my experience.

It's rather simple, really.

You see; there is no Oneness without duality. Yet Oneness is not touched or affected by polar opposites. It encompasses both sides and integrates them into a whole. To the point where difference cannot be told. Unless there is a 'you', an 'I', a 'perspective' that is making the discernment.

The greatest evil is done to maximize goodness. Yes. It is all out of Love. Goodness cannot know itself without evil. Life cannot know itself without death. Light cannot know itself without darkness.

This is where the idea of illusion comes in. Because it's all Light. All Love. All good. All God. It's just disguised as 'something else'. Why? Precisely so you could wake up to Love. Wake up to Light. Wake up to Goodness. It is incredibly cleaver and badass.

Now I'm not gonna sit here and say that you cannot experience anything bad or evil. That's bullshit, imo. Spiritual bypassing - if you will. It's not how life works. Life is too perfect for that to be true. You most likely will face The Devil. You will stare evil into its eyes. You will feel pain and devastation. And it's going to seem very real.

The moment you recognize how that is actually a blessing in disguise; is the moment your true mastery will dawn.

It's all service to the One Infinite. It's all Love loving fearlessly and unconditionally every inch of its infinitude.

Blessings.

A lot of spiritual teachers and gurus hold this position.

But I am skeptical about our attempts at answering the "why" for the Tao/Mystery.

I imagine it is for the purpose of finding peace

It's healthy skepticism.

Why questions are often misconceived.

Authentic Peace is the natural state. The purpose for "finding peace" would be based on the problem created by the very tool with which most will use to find it.

@kbone Thanks

Don't get me wrong. One "must try" to find what it is they think they seek or need... it's part of the twist. The conundrum is that most will continue to attempt to use the mind to fix the mind-made "problem", at least until there's something of an awakening. Perhaps that is why many say to meditate, in all its various forms.

The strange thing is that one must fail continuously, and some would say "fail absolutely", before Truth Realization is apprehended. That is the "journey" across the barren mindscape that is implied in the "hero's quest".

The surrender will be choiceless and absolute, and every prior "riddle of consciousness" will be seen through.

It's only subsequently that Peace is immediately available.... prior to mind.

Edit: I really liked your OP. I sensed a beautiful authenticity.

@kbone I did not get you wrong. If anything; I did not get you at all. But I felt like thanking you for your input anyways.

I think I understand you now. And I agree. But I don't think we're talking about the same 'thing' necessarily. I was not trying to say that there is a problem that needs to be solved. I was simply pointing towards the calm during the storm. It's about living everyday life. And recognizing what is actually going on in the heat of the moment; when shit hits the fan - if you will. Thus finding peace.

A seemingly unjust scenario can be seen as an invitation to maximize Love within one's being. I suppose that is the message.

Thanks again. Bless ya.

I getcha. I was just spinning of the "good vs evil" thingy, perhaps.

Yeah, agreed. When the shit hits the fan, it is always a good idea to step back to get a better view, rather than run headlong into the insanity.

And, yep, Love is a big topic, as well.

Peace, brotha. ✌✊??
