Absolute Infinity = Permanent Form?

6 posts in this topic

"Nothing lasts."

"Everything is impermanent."

"Nothing lasts for even a second."

"Reality is always changing."

"Change is the only constant."

These are some out of many insights people have said regarding the nature of form/reality.

My question is: if the universe is absolute infinity, wouldn't that entail that form can be permanent?

  • If not then wouldn't that limit the universe, thus negating the quality of being absolutely infinite?
  • If you say there is no difference between form and formlessness, then by saying form is impermanent you are defacto saying formlessness is impermanent.

Attached to thought, indeed there seems to be form, difference, duality, permanence, impermanence, etc, etc, etc. It’s beauty is that it is not. What is not can not be limited / unlimited. The full stop, the full reverse, meditation, is the way.

Many people turn form and formless into a duality just like real and unreal. Formlessness is beyond any duality.
