Inner Child Healing and then?

10 posts in this topic

Hey guys, I have been working with my inner child for a year now. I healed a lot of traumas which felt great. But I think just focusing on the inner child is not enough.

When I start yoga and meditation practices now will healing occur naturally or how does this work?

What are your favorite consciousness techniques for inner child healing and/or awakening?

Thank you guys! :)

@lukasferre Self-inquiry and direct experience. You won't even find an inner child when having done those successfully :D

Thank you, Natasha. But the emotions I felt for my inner child were definitely real. What techniques can you recommend for self-inquiry?

@lukasferre The inner child/childhood trauma is a mental construct. It only lives in your mind. Even right now look around and try to locate it in your immediate surroundings...you won't find it, because it doesn't exist.

Leo has good vids on Self-inquiry. It's a process that requires razor focus. I actually became Self- aware while doing guided by him Creating The Experience Of No-Self' self-inquiry. Check it out.

I watched Bentinho's episode on the mechanics of healing. He also talked about that even he is doing some childhood healing now and then, but only if it shows up. During some days I also recognize that I act out of a "security program" from my ego which was created due to childhood events. - Of course I want to let go of that...

@lukasferre Cultivating healthy self-love is how I've been healing my inner child. Learning to give yourself as much love and acceptance as needed. When it comes to the Absolute reality, however, the mind is transcended, that includes the mental constructs of the 'person' and the 'story'. They only exist as concepts. Dead people don't worry about anything, because that's the end of the illusion that there was someone.

@lukasferre If you have deep trauma and issues from your childhood I would recommend finding an expert in that area on top of a Spiritual Teacher for this work.

These are complex issues (relatively speaking) and healing them will certainly help massively on the path, although you can certainly awaken & then post awakening when the I thought it dissolved working through these emotions will be even easier!

Unfortunately I don’t know any experts, but I’m sure yourube, google, books etc will help you :)

Thanks for your answers! That is the thing, I had a very good childhood. There are just some annoying programs I want to let go off. That is my question - for example in Kriya yoga isn't it so that healing happens automatically?

Often, if you just keep acting on what you find attracting or exciting a lot of fears and uncomfortable feelings will come up. For example you might have a real passion for singing, but may have stage freight, so it will come up and you can work through it by following your attraction. That's one way you can do it
