Astral Projection, Lucid Dreams, and OBE's: How to Become a Conscious Dreamer

8 posts in this topic

I have always wondered how to Astral Project.  I have tried following guides of other on YouTube, but nothing has worked.  It just seems like I am imagining it.

Has anyone had any success in Astral Projection?

I also used to keep a dream journal during my Philosophy of Dreams class back in College (really mind blowing class btw).  During that class, I had my first lucid dream.

The issue that I am struggling with is that I have not been able to remember my dreams, and I have been too lazy to keep writing in my dream journal.

Any Conscious Dreamers that could help me out?

Thanks!

I haven't done it but certainly gotten pretty close. If you can induce sleep paralysis consciously, you can then later move on to astral projection when you are hallucinating big time. How to induce sleep paralysis? Well really I don't know. See, I did it 3 times but it happened when I was focusing on my thought without realizing i was focusing, Suddenly by thought grow loud and i 'fall'. Vibrations all throughout the body and I start hallucinating in all of my senses. So from my experience all I can really say is try to sleep by meditating. Which is observing your thoughts. It always happened when I woke up at 3 am (went to sleep around 11 pm), then stayed awake for a while, maybe 30 mins to 2 hours. Then I when i went back to sleep, it is very easy.

See I know this much, but the last time i did that was months ago, and i have been trying (not intensely tho), to do it again. No luck yet. So my information here isn't much to go by.

Thanks.  I have had two lucid dreams, which were mind blowing.  The first lucid dream I had, I was in a car, I got out, and I still noticed the ground moving.  I had so much awareness that it woke me up, and I felt my whole body vibrating (sleep paralysis), which was really dope!

I also really want to become a more conscious dreamer, but I have not been keeping up with my dream journal.

@r0ckyreed I too am lazy with writing down dreams. So I started telling them at work. My employees seem to be entertained... Or at least I pay them to be... Either way it works, my dream recall is great ?

Do you have someone to tell your dreams to? Journaling can be boring if you're not into it.

What do you think about the idea of me waking up and sharing my dreams with myself in the mirror?

I think I am just gonna have to find a way to not be lazy about it.

That's a good idea :) very good, haven't heard that before.

Or, you can post here in a community dream report thread. It's still writing down your dream, but in a sense of telling it... A bit different and more powerful than simply journaling.

Can also tell them into a recorder.  You complete the feedback loop when you listen back and it elicits mind movies of the dream.

Someone wrote a really detailed guide on how to Conciously Sleep here some time back. They also link several other of their posts that talk about OBEs and AP. They talk about them in the post itself. I think it's helpful, though I haven't tried it out properly myself.
