A Throwback to Zima Blue: Every Artist's Inner Calling

5 posts in this topic

If you recall December 2019, Leo shared the series Love, Death & Robots on his blog, and he mentioned an episode called Zima Blue.

This ten-minute animated story struck me on a deep spiritual level, especially because it unveils every artist's (and not just) life purpose.

The series is available on Netflix, and I felt like refreshing the memory of those of you who have never seen it.

Below is a three-minute edit that summarizes the great epoch of Zima Blue.

Many of the animated short stories from LDR are inspired by written ones. I didn't know until today. Both Zima Blue and Beyond the Aquila Rift were authored by Alastair Reynolds. What a genius.

I saw this last year and it struck me as well. That whole series has tons of easter eggs. I love that Zim Blue is the last episode as well.
