People who read the SD book

5 posts in this topic

Hello everyone, i am currently reading the SD book, i'm around page 220, a little over half.

Thing is, the last 50 pages have been going on and on about plumb bobs and how to fix your company. I don't have a company nor i think i will have one in the near future, so it has been a extremely unrelatable experience wich i feel i'm not getting much out of.

I'm currently thinking of dropping it and going to the next book on my list, wich is likelly to be Ken Wilber's "a brief history of everything" or "sex & ecology & spirituality"

So, to the people who read the book, is there much value to be gained still from this book? what do you thought of the last half as you were reading it? To me, so far i felt it's time that could be better spent somewhere else.

This is one of those books that I jump back and forth in when needed. I will never "stop" reading it. Its not one of those kinds of book.

Dont look at me! Look inside!

I think the spiral wizardry in section 3 had some good stuff.

It’s written in the context of it’s time period, so some of the practical stuff doesn’t have much resonance in todays environment
