What is enlightenment?

  • Nothing has importance.

  • Not what you believe it to be.

  • The fingertips having a mind of their own.

 

How to help the world?

  • By discovering Yourself.

 

How do we get others to like us?

  • No one cares about You.

 

Is it possible to have everything?

  • To need nothing is to have everything.

 

What is fear?

  • The offspring of desire.

 

What is anger?

  • The offspring of hope.

 

Who am I?

  • That which remains when you remove all the things that you are not.

 

How to become more disciplined?

  • By understanding why you are not.

 

What is right and wrong?

  • A societal fabrication.

 

How can we achieve world peace?

  • By transforming yourself.

 

What is time?

  • Time is thought.

 

What is the flow state (the zone)?

  • A state in which the mind has disappeared.

 

What is freedom?

  • Freedom from the self.

 

What is the only way to truly, truly live?

  • By living without a self.

 

 

 

Deep truth results in long silence, long silence results in deep truth.

Most of these I would call high wisdom but not truth.

There are a few there that I like, this one “what is freedom? It is freedom from the self” in particular. If you think about it, all desire comes from the self. But really to experience such freedom is a rarity, it comes from a realisation beyond just letting go. I sometimes find it when meditating while listening to Osho’s discourses.
