Posted November 11, 2020 In the past few months, Truth has become part of my daily life. A complete revolution of my existence. After 22 miserable years of suffering, illusions, terrible health, conflict, neediness, neurotic behaviours and lots of trying, trying, trying to get somewhere.. I am surprised to see how Truth was sitting under my nose the whole time but I was too busy searching, trying, practising. It is now clear to me how Truth cannot be achieved, caught, obtained through discipline, effort, sacrifice, will, desire, direction, purpose. All those things will only bring you away from Truth. You cannot "achieve" something that is already here, "gain" something you already ARE. Truth is here, everywhere, for those who can SEE. It can only be seen and lived here and NOW. The mind wants to achieve, label, categorize something that is out of its reach. Mind creates all sorts of models, structures, theories and, ironically, it even tries to divide consciousness in different "levels" to be achieved like a video game. How ironic is that! You may play in the realm of different "experiences" and games. But Truth sweeps away every human construct of purpose and desire for experience. Desire for experience appears rather childish. Truth is something so sacred, so immense, way far beyond what my silly mind could ever understand. Also, it cannot possibly be given to you by another, sold, explained or trasmitted. How do you even know if the "guru" you are following has the quality, the embodiment of Truth? You have no idea. Purpose, discipline, force, desire, wanting, striving are very MASCULINE drives. If one lacks balance (most people do), those drives take human beings away from being, presence, peace, health, harmony with nature and, most importantly, Truth. In a practical sense, this lack of balance is very evident in today's world and can manifest in many ways: -Constant inner and outer conflict (which manifests into constant war) -pharmaceutical&symptom-suppression consciousness -destruction of nature -intellectualism, dogma -ambition, greed, cruelty -living stuck in the head, disconnection from the body -excess & edonism -tribalism (nationalism is tribalism) -self interest and selfishness -the absurd illusion that there is always something to get, achieve, acquire. The list goes on.
Posted November 11, 2020 People spend their entire lives chasing the Truth when all they have to do is be. Hint: If you think you understand anything, you don't. Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.
Posted November 11, 2020 It seems to elude the "seeker" by simply being everything. “Everything is honoured, but nothing matters.” — Eckhart Tolle. "I have lived on the lip of insanity, wanting to know reasons, knocking on a door. It opens. I've been knocking from the inside." -- Rumi

Posted November 12, 2020 (edited) Happy you find your way. Please keep in mind though that a mountain has multiple paths to the top. It sounds like surrender is what you needed, but be careful prescribing that to all seekers. Some seekers actually need to desire harder, they bullshit themselves thinking they want the truth, but in all honesty they’re still resisting even the desire to desire the truth. Getting clear on the fact that you want to become conscious and stop living in the web of lies our mind’s construct is a critical step for many enlightened beings. For my personal awakening process, practice, discipline and effort have all been instrumental. Do I claim these are absolute positions all must have if they want “the truth?” No. Hell surrender is critical as well. The thing is, Truth is totally off the radar of effort and no effort, work and surrender. All dualities and positions will collapse. Any position you write from will not lead to truth, even the position of letting go of all positions is not it. A total paradox. Posted November 12, 2020 How would u achieve something you’ve always been a part of???
Posted November 12, 2020 @Consilience Thank you. I agree, no generalizations can be made. Also, I realize that what I said could be misunderstood and used as an excuse for a lazy, "peace&love" lifestyle which hippies superficially confuse with Truth. That is actually reinforcing the self, the ego. On the contrary! Truth brings about tremendous responsibility. In my brief experience last couple months, righteous behaviour and conscious living are natural, organic consequences of Truth. For me at the moment, no effort has to be made to live a "strict" lifestyle: Fear, desire, need, wanting often just arise and flow away naturally, effortlessly. But I see how discipline can play a part in the initial decision to cut out all the bs. In my case, cutting out bs was probably done automatically by such despair I was in (i wanted to kill myself, i was done with life).
