Martial Arts And Everyday Life

2 posts in this topic

Olden Martial Artists recognized the Martial Arts to be something not only applicable within the boundaries of warfare, but in everyday tasks. In fact, anybody can begin washing the dishes using the Martial Arts. The philosophy of Martial Arts is meant to extend to areas of human habit so as to sharpen performance and enhance life and peace. I studies Martial Arts and, when I was a child, always wondered how they always moved so quick. The answer is what makes Martial Arts blend in with the natural laws of the universe. Listen closely, because the exercise I'm about to reveal you can also help you stop an unwanted yet useless habit. This information is what I gathered after studying the philosophy of Jeet Kune Do (formulated by Bruce Lee) and Krav Maga. The actual practice of these resides within a main point: beneficial purpose. How to succeed.

Bruce Lee stressed that simplification is the way to go. This is one of the things which make the Martial Arts possible. The easiest and most efficient route is near at hand (meaning close); and 'if' it is even slightly farther than the nearest option, it is still most efficient and useful. It is often harder for some to take the easy route because they are so accustomed to taking the hard route that the hard route has become easier to recognize than the easy route which is more efficient.

So the technique is now only partially revealed. Here is the basic yet essential advice which I (even as of this moment) try to incorporate in my everyday life.

"Forsake unnecessary action, and that not by action but by non-action. Accomplish each task in the fewest, most efficient, most beneficial amount of movement possible."

I actually put this advice together myself after much study and physical labor. The result of much writing and labor led to this main technique. It can be used both my the mind and the body. So, if you wish, gimme some feedback about your use of this advice or give me some advice myself.
