Leo Medical Induced Enlightenment

@Leo Gura re listening to what is consciousness, you said that maybe one day they might figure out how to medically induce enlightenment. I heard Martin Ball once say that 5 Leo turns off the part of the mind that deals with ego and identity (I forget the actual part) . What if we just found a way to interrupt that without 5meo like with magnets or something?

You can eliminate the illusion of the ego by decapitating someone. That isn't enlightenment.

Enlightenment is wisdom, not knowledge. It is spiritual seeing, which is only possible to the degree you dissolve the bonds that keep you here in the first place.

If you believe hard enough and imagine turning off a part of the brain will give this wisdom it will. You just have to get everyone to collectively agree and believe

@Mvrs Is wisdom defined by consensus, or is it spiritual sight of what really is? Consciousness itself is wisdom, and it doesn't depend on consensus or anything else.

The truth is, that part of the brain gets shut down during most psychedelic trips, and then comes back a while after the trip. So, it's not instant enlightenment but more like a medically induced ego-death.
