Like-Minded People for Entrepreneurship Mastermind

3 posts in this topic

Hello :)

Could you benefit from having some like-minded entrepreneurs to bounce ideas off of?

I know I could.

I have a very close relationship with my wife and she has been my soundboard so far; however, it's gotten to a point where she still wants to be supportive but she doesn't have the context to fully grasp the concepts I'm talking about. My friends are focused on their respective careers and aren't interested in expanding their consciousness at the moment. So, we decided it would be a good idea for me to find some awesome, like-minded, people to hang out with - virtually or otherwise.

I'm looking for people who are well-versed in online business and personal development; this is what I also have to offer - from a different perspective. You must also bring a positive/supportive attitude to the group. If we criticize, it's only from above, not below.

One of the main purposes of this mastermind is to propose questions to other members of the group so they can reflect on their challenges from a different perspective. I'm also hoping to include some aspects of accountability into the group and I'm open to other ideas.

Separately, I'm also open to hiring a coach to help me achieve my business goals but I'd like to start this mastermind regardless of my coaching situation. Please leave any coach recommendations here as well. Similarly, if you have suggestions as to where else I can find potential mastermind members, please leave your recommendations here.

About me:

I'm a Canadian in my early 30's who enjoys exploring consciousness, playing music, cold mini-showers, and inspiring others to be the best version of themselves.

?’?? ?????? ????? ???????? ??????; ?????? ???????’? ???? ????? ?? ???? ?? ??????? ?????? ??? ????; ??????? ??? ????? ?? ????? ????? ?? ???? ???????, “? ??? ??!”; ??’? ?? ?????????? ??????????.

My post-secondary started on the path to being a physical education teacher with a math minor but I didn’t stay on that path for long.

??? ??? ? ??????? ? ???????? ???? ?? ???????? ?? ?? ???????? ????? ??? ???? ?? ?? ??????; ????? ??? ??? ?????? ??? ??????.

Also, anyone who knows me knows that I thrive on finding efficient solutions to life's challenges.

For education: I graduated high school with honors; I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with distinction and a management major; and a CPA/CMA designation, management accounting specialty.

For work experience: customer service, business banking, personal banking, construction accounting

For volunteer experience: high school Students' Union President, many other smaller volunteer roles in K-12, university ambassador, blood donor (we don't get paid for blood donations in Canada)

I've spent the last two years, on a more-than-full-time basis, exploring everything I could regarding online business and personal development.

For online business, this included: affiliate marketing, network marketing, dropshipping, FB ads, Google ads, copywriting, SEO, blogging, crypto, information products, coaching/consulting, and more.

For personal development, this included: pretty much everything but my favorite is exploring consciousness. I've lost over 80 lbs and will lose another 50+ lbs in the next little while. I meditate every day, usually for an hour. I write in my journal daily. I also exercise in my home gym for >45 minutes 5-6 times per week.

If you are interested, please respond with some aspects of your life experience that you can offer the group as well as what you are hoping to get out of the group.

Please let me know if you have any questions :)

I'd be down for a Discord group or something where like-minded people can informally chat and share information. I'm less interested in a formal mastermind where we have a video call once a week or something.

We sound uncannily similar in a lot of ways haha.

About me:

Canadian (Southwestern Ontario)

Early 30s

Bachelor of Business Studies degree (Accounting major) - Basically a BComm for people who already completed a business diploma at college beforehand.

Online business - My "full time" business is freelance writing. In addition to writing for clients, I have 3 blogs / articles with websites of my own that are generating a bit of ad revenue and affiliate sales. Looking to create an online course once I build up enough of a following. I've watched probably thousands of hours of Youtube videos about online business, and taken a few good online courses. I'm familiar with all the online business concepts you listed.

This year I also started a webcomic. I'm currently learning Unity / C# to create my own video game but still in the very early stages. I ran my own Minecraft server for over a year, but it was becoming too much and unenjoyable so I handed it over to one of my mods.

I've made a sizeable investment into crypto this year... currently about 10-15% of my savings are in it. I was into it in the past but then took many years off. Seems like the right time to get back into it.

Weak points / things I need to work on - I meditate far less than I should. Haven't been able to get the habit to stick. Been struggling with eating healthy, exercising, and weight loss for the past couple of years. Have some good progress and then slide back. Stress/anxiety.

Personal development - Very knowledgeable about diet and exercise despite not actually putting it into practice haha. Done the life purpose course, future authoring program, and other stuff like that. Been watching Leo religiously every week for years. I wanna do Sadhguru's Inner Engineering program and go in a sensory deprivation tank as a reward for myself once I can manage to meditate for 90 or 120 days straight. I don't think I can get the most benefit out of it before I put in the basic meditation work. Ditto for psychedelics. I'd like to try them but mentally probably not ready yet. Not enlightened yet :(

Things I'd want to do if I was a multi-millionaire or billionaire:
- A large-scale underwater exploration operation like EVNautilus. Both to identify new deep-sea species and map the bottom of the entire ocean, as well as locate and recover sunken ships (Approximately 95% of the ocean is still unexplored. We know more about space than the ocean.)
- Create a self-sufficient community / commune. Living off-grid and growing my own food would be ideal, as long as I can still have a high-speed internet connection and solar electricity ;)
- Form an online community to help people achieve financial independence, mentoring program, give people the knowledge and startup funding needed to create their inventions or achieve their dreams.
- Go treasure hunting and prospecting, panning for gold. Maybe buy an entire old mine or ghost town.
- Make a game studio and hire a few people to bring my video game ideas to life without having to learn all the coding, art, music, etc stuff myself to do it.

Awesome. Thanks for your reply Yarco!

Something informal is fine with me. Discord seems like a good idea; I haven't used it much so I'm not familiar with the features it has but it seems good from my limited experience with it.

Seems like you have a solid foundation for online business; how long have you had the blogs/websites going?

To me, meditation is a keystone habit; it helps everything else you listed; eating healthy, exercising, weight loss, and stress/anxiety. We can definitely talk more about ways to make it a habit that you enjoy.

Putting knowledge into practice is something I'm working on too. I love to learn while exercising/driving/doing other activities so I absorb some of the content but I'm finding various ways to circle back and implement what I've learned.

Inner Engineering was great. It provided me with a different perspective and a couple of tools to manage my energies. The in-person program includes more instruction than the online version and, after a bit of digging, I found some more information on the differences. It's 50% off until November 8th and FREE for medical personnel.

Sensory deprivation tanks are amazing. I want to get one for my home one day. I'm sure you could get 'more' use out of it after being more practiced in meditation; however, it is possible that doing this boosts your meditation practice. The buoyant water helps me find complete-body relaxation which allows my focus to explore beyond my physical body sensations since it feels like I have no body.

Similarly with psychedelics. I'm not sure that you need to be enlightened to explore with them; some people find that psychedelics allow them a peek into enlightenment. Regardless, psychedelics are not something to try if you don't feel ready; as they say, it's all about set and setting.

Ocean exploration seems interesting; have they not explored because we don't have the technology yet?

Lol. I have also thought about creating a self-sufficient commune with the 'exception' of high-speed internet. I haven't looked into it too much yet though.

My gateway into personal development was video games; GTA in particular, as weird as it may sound. I suppose it was more of a realization through video games. I noticed that I was so involved in playing every day to earn bonuses and setting up things to earn more 'money' and one day thought; why don't I spend this time creating real wealth and earning real 'bonuses'? I still enjoy playing video games but I don't do it nearly as often.

How much hard cost is there in creating a video game? Do you think it's possible to produce video games by getting the people with the necessary skills on board with your vision and create it as a group, part-time, where each participating creator gets a share of the game ownership?
