Quote

Suffering is happening essentially because most human beings have lost perspective as to what this life is about. Their psychological process has become far larger than the existential process, or to put it bluntly, you’ve made your petty creation far more important than the Creator’s creation. That is the fundamental source of all suffering. -- Jaggi Vasudev

Total identification with thoughts and corresponding emotions in the mind makes us oblivious to the beauty and warmth of existence around us and benefiting from them. One can sit in the beach or garden and completely miss the beautiful sunset or beautiful flowers from beginning to end due to engrossment in thoughts.

It is this complete identification with the thinking and emoting process and inability to detach from them, that is the cause of psychological suffering as it is basically an unnatural state. The greater the number of desires one harbors in the form of cravings and aversions, the greater the thought process , and in corresponding proportion one misses out on the joys of life and nature around us, cocooned in our own mental worlds built of desires and fears.

Self-awareness is yoga. - Nisargadatta

Awareness is the great non-conceptual perfection. - Dzogchen

Evil is an extreme manifestation of human unconsciousness. - Eckhart Tolle

Well said. Suffering happens when we resist reality. We complain about what is, and we want what is not. It's like the Chinese finger trap. The more you fight to escape, the tighter the trap becomes. The secret to freedom is to embrace the trap by pushing your fingers into it. Only then does it release its hold. Some people spend their entire lives suffering by resisting what happens to them, when they might have enjoyed beauty and peace through acceptance.

Nonduality = Reality = Integrity = Clarity = Wholeness = Peace

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

True, we are a society who lives in an imaginary world, the psicológical process that shadguru talked about. I think that one of the causes is the hard addiction that our society have to the fictions. Movies, novels, etc. We are educated feeling emotions watching movies every single day...it's absolutely insane . Most of people can't enjoy of a blue sky , they only projects his psicológical process to the past or to the future.

Yes,

identify with thoughts when you need to survive.

Don't identify with thoughts when you want to live.
