Sleeping on the side and scoliosis

Can sleeping on the side of your body cause scoliosis? I've found little info on this.

I doubt it causes scoliosis, but it may indeed cause back pain.

Not only that, but it can also cause tight hip flexors and puts your neck at an awkward angle angle for at least 8 hours a day.

If you can train yourself to sleep on your back, that's the best.

Sleeping with blankets on a mattress makes it difficult for my feet, but I guess I can find a way.

Thank you.
