That statement, and also: “What’s your face before you were born?” and anything else really, is a nonsensical statement, because none of this is real. Or unreal.

I've heard the opposite. Enlightened people are masters at not falling for the illusions of the mind. Eckhart Tolle talks about a guru that took a handful of drugs, and while he may have had a lot of images flashing through his brain, his internal reality was so centered that nothing changed.

Yeah it’s utterly futile. There’s a fine line between suicidal depression and enlightenment. Strange that I’ve never actually been depressed before. Literally not once. I thought it was happening to some degree — turns out it actually just wasn’t.
