Concentration practise

What are your experiences with concentration practise? If you have any, did it help? How long were you doing it?

Personally, I just recently installed a 10 minute session (before my meditation/self-inquiry). I use the metronome method and if I'm being honest, I find it a little bit tedious, but I definitely feel some improvements in my concentration skill.
