I've seen this question pondered on here regularly, as well as in many spiritual seekers and communities, so thought I would share this gem from Rupert.

all action born out of your wholeness is complete. 

doing an action to find completeness or happiness will be never ending, because it will not be lasting

once you discover you yourself are the one that lasts, then your actions aren't to get anything. your actions are to share your love and joy

 

like the sun shining and giving light. it is its nature

 

or a child playing, or an adult dancing or singing or humming - the purpose is the activity itself. ONE.

@SoonHei Exactly! 

It's so counter intuitive as it actually frees you to enjoy whatever the activity / relationship etc is as you aren't asking this activity to MAKE you happy, instead you are already happy & are simply engaging in X,Y, Z because you want to. 

It sounds subtle but it makes such a huge difference in one's interaction with the 'World', activities, people, etc etc.
