@ivankiss I had a lot of sleep paralysis as a kid, I didn't know what it was but I remember panicking too. But because I was awake but I couldn't move I remember thinking... "OK, this is just that I woke up before my body woke up" Lol

And then I thought, Ok, if I just stay quiet... at some point the body will wake up and move... and it always happened that I could move after a short period of time, after that every time I had sleep paralysis I did the same thing. I just stayed quiet until my body began to act and move normal.

But is scary because you don't know if it will move again.

:P

@electroBeam haha well if you visit me at night, make sure you knock and don't be a creepo ??? jk jk I would totally spy on people

Nothing wrong with that... Image streaming is more like remote viewing than astral projection,  but you can also talk to different parts of your mind with it by asking questions or 'sending it' images of your own and seeing what any responses are.  Any dream related work is a worthy goal.

Astral projection relies more heavily on the trance state, are you good at trance?

When you wake up from these night terrors, how quickly do you fall back to sleep, if at all? @Michal__

I've had night terrors in childhood and are nothing like nightmares (more like a really bad trip). One image that haunted me was a huge sphere breathing that became huge on inhale and super tiny on exhale. And I was living in a geometrical world with triangles, squares and shit. Everytime I would wake up screaming and pointing the finger at something saying "LOOK". Wondering if anyone suffered from this as well. These experiences are similar to the trips on drugs, just that you're tripping with brain chemicals

@Member wow that's actually very interesting... I wonder why you were so afraid of being a geometrical form... Would you still be scared?

Yep, when i say I'm in deep sleep now what i mean is im in the subtle body state now. I was sort of pointing to the fact that the subtle body is happening now, not just when sleeping. So you probs already know this but for others on here, its possible to rest in the subtle body all the time. Trance as far as i can tell based on the descriptions is just basic enlightenment work where you recognise you're the non-doer, unless thats not true.

It looked like the Hoberman sphere just that it was plain grey in a black space.

I wonder if it was synchronized with my breathing. No wonder it scared the hell out of me, that's like a bad trip on drugs. For a kid, it is disturbing.

Obviously, I must have seen many other things but I only remember the sphere and some geometrical shapes.

@electroBeam ah OK, well then AP away! Whatever you're drawn to.  Once you are in a good trance, do you get to the point where your whole body is buzzing wildly?  You'll need to stay very still.

Yeah when I was reading your post it reminded me exactly of guided breathing videos you can find on YouTube. Really cool experience!

@Nahm thank you for your kind and generous donation!  Call again!

@abrakamowse it really is! And it doesn't take much work to get going.  It's what I consider a whole other pillar of dreaming that hardly anyone has ever heard of.

@abrakamowse no, but I bet it's really good! As long as you can take all theory with a grain of salt and just extract the nuggets... But I suppose thats for anything you read...

@seeking_brilliance Seems interesting, I am reading the introduction and I think I like it... of course, I always take everything with a grain of salt. I always experience it and then decide if it is worthy. I use the scientific method Lol...

:-)

An extract:

Quote

Between the Gates: Lucid Dreaming, Astral Projection, and the Body of Light in Western Esotericism presents the core theories and practices of the arts of inner journeying and puts them in the context of more than two thousand years of Western esoteric teachings about the subtle body and its role in spiritual development.

could the dreams tell something or they're just random brain farts?

I can't say yes or no, but I often experience something the following day which is a very blatant reference to something in last night's dream. When a dream memory is triggered, it's because something (in conversation with someone or an experience) directly relates to the dream. I'd say this is too common of a phenomenon to simply say it's coincidence. But I wonder if "random brain farts" = coincidence?

Also that was a really cool dream!

A friend of mine told me that he dreamed something and then, that same thing happened exactly the same way in real life.

When it was happening, he thought "this is exactly the dream I had some time ago"... it was crazy, he told me...

I think it was a job interview.

Of course :)

If we take the belief that everything happens simultaneously, in infinite realities, then that's not shocking at all :)
