Stage green debate: should the left vote for Biden?

@Leo Gura

Tell me about your rock-solid survival plan.

Whats the fundamental difference  between Trumpty Dumpty and senile Biden?

fyi i live in Chicago, Democrats always beat Republicans by a landslide. My vote doesn't really matter. So I dedicated my vote to increase the numbers in the 3rd party. I feel safe sending a message in a state like Illinois. However i don't try to convince my family and friends in Wisconsin and Texas to vote 3rd party. Their democratic votes are important. Im not a complete hippy idealogical fucktard. Im reasonably rebellious.

The more Biden wins by, the less likely Trumpism is to occur again in the future, and the more power progressives will have after the election. Think about it, in an era of plague, economic depression, massive protests and growing fascism, can you imagine the narrative that would be set if the center-left  of all positions won by a landslide? It would prove that the soul of America is not yet broken and that the energy for real fucking progress and reform still exists. Good god it's frustrating, I see your country on the verge of a political awakening but ideas like this tell me most people don't realise how much fucking good can be done if it's just pushed towards.

Americans, please, if you're reading this, don't fuck this up by voting for a 3rd party or not voting. The more Biden wins by, the more legitimacy progress, civility and compromise will gain, the more power the people will hold, and the more material good can be achieved in the coming years. Things like the GND, M4A, student loan abolishment are all on the tables within the next decade or so if you're smart about it, but you have to earn power first. Get hungry for power like a cheetah thirsts for blood. Don't pussy out from taking control of your country. You owe it to yourselves to fly as high as you can and grab progress by the balls.

Not an American but after watching the debates I can clearly see that a vote for Joe Biden & the democrats will at least attempt to get America to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement, Decriminalize Marijuana & expunge criminal records of Marijuana use across the country, protect female abortion rights, protect LGBT rights, more police funding + bodycams for police officers, keep two year community colleges free, free college for families who earn less than $125,000 a year & increase taxes on the wealthy without increasing it on the lower & middle class.

There are so many bullshit lies pedaled by the republicans that they are better for job growth and the economy which just don't seem to be true since statistically the democrat party has actually done better in these fields. You're voting to make your country worse if you don't vote for Joe Biden.

Also, most Americans either severely underestimate (or don't care) how much having Trump as president affects the other countries of the rest of the world.

Don't fuck this up America.

This is an over simplification, usually the country cycles between a blue admin to a red admin to a blue admin, etc. That’s why Obama won after Bush, but Trump won after Obama. After a Biden admin most likely republicans will win next time, or the time after that.

If Republicans want to win next time they have to make some drastic changes.

@Raze Party fatigue has only been a factor after two terms. A president running for re-election has a big incumbency advantage. Yet Trump may be an exception since there seems to be a lot of Trump fatigue after only one term.

Vaush has a great socialist analysis of why you should vote for Biden:

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

I am not american, so no vote for me. But i would vote Biden if i were, however he stinks as well. And in a kullinksian fashion he is in congruence with his buddies prior 'beyond the pale' and represents radicaly few of those interests a well functioning parlamentary system of these ages would.

Its just that Trump is grotesque in 95% of the issues, and can not even be mentioned in the same sentence as the 'pale'.

Joe Biden won and Bernie lost because that's what most people wanted.

In fact, there is abundant poling and other data that almost all of Bernie's platform is desired by at least a majority, and often a super-majority, of American citizens. This is not theory or opinion, it is fact, not even disputed.

Massive fuckery, on multiple levels, ensured that Bernie "lost" and Biden "won". This too can be documented, though it takes longer, and it is certainly disputed, though not very effectively IMO.

To ignore all this seriously compromises one's view.
