Noam Chomsky explains why leftists should vote for Biden

It’s really unfortunate. We wouldn’t have this predicament if Bernie did better in the primaries this time than in 2020. He had the quick lead at first and oodles of donations to his campaign, but it just wasn’t meant to be. It’s not fair, but I’d be much more willing to concede a victory to Biden than to Trump.

I’m voting for my needs.

So is every other devil.

So don't be surprised when the net result is a shitshow.

Maybe it is fair. But you don't want fair, you want what you want.

Who made your ego the arbiter of what's fair? Contemplate.

Yeah, it’s a learning process. When Bernie lost in 2016, I went straight to Jill Stein and was happy to avoid the “lesser of 2 evils” vote and stuck to my ideals. But this time around, I’m all in on Biden after Bernie lost the primary again. It’s the more realistic solution to make sure some semblance of progressiveness has a place in our capitol.

he wasn't really fighting back at some point

and the way the dnc treated him was despicable :)

even fox (tucker) gave him a better platform than some of those other channels, they would have switched on him later though obviously

Josh Fox explains a pragmatic Green approach. He frames is as progressives can either play defense with Trump another four years or go on offensive against Biden. Using a sports analogy, it's much more likely to score while playing offense than to score while playing defense.

Some people just simply lack long term strategic planning in their lives. I know I do when it comes to the domain of money. For some it's the vision for the country. We get Biden in, who is running on the most liberal platform any president has ever, and then we push for more AOC/Bernie type candidates down ballot and in our coalition. Biden's presidency will not be some centrist circle jerk like a small fringe internet group is making it out to be. I'm actually glad Biden won the nomination. I'm not entirely sure Bernie would of been able to do well in the general election but it's an unknown so no point in even discussing it.

I don’t hate green voters but the Green Party is a failed party, we need a new party. Parties aren’t built from getting extra percentages at national elections every four years, parties are built from grassroots movements that elect local officials and then electors senators congresspeople etc. people would take the Green Party more seriously if they actually started winning seats
