Individual from Dual Perspective

7 posts in this topic

I would be interested how you would think about an individual from a dual point of view.

Even if some higher-concioussness states are reached one could still think its something special most people don't achieve and that's why "I" am special. Honestly, I think every being is like a flower and how it evolves just depends on the nutrition, the environment. Also genetics. And genetics are nothing special and do not relate to an Individuum, but at the end to whole humanity and the universe or cosmos. And "good genetics" are imo completely subjective as well as how you interpret science.

I opened this topic, because I hope some people think like I do, so I don't feel alone in this (currently for me) achiever-world, where you always can climb higher and therefore always be unsatisfied. Someone could always be better than me in some way and therefore I am less worthy. Which doesn't feel true to me.

Did you had a similar issue and can relate to that? Did you overcome it and if yes, how? What's your mindset?

If someone is happy that I know of then I am happy, I don't bother to compare myself to people, why would I? If others face success and are happy than I'm really glad that they are feeling pleasant within themselves. If someone is better than you at something that you admire then I would be interested in them.

I am the experience of life I have right here and now, if I have the freedom/time to be ecstatic and blissful right now then I will be climbing higher and higher into the highest ways of experiencing life. If I for a split second am not satisfied then my consciousness makes my life experience even more profound because then something would be lacking. I become almost completely fully satisfied, or close to what is referred to enlightenment where people might leave there body (die). And where 1 day perhaps feels like 10 minutes.

There is also karma or fate, everything happens all the time and there is always a result of an action. Some people are attractive other isn't but what you do with your body or your mind is not of much importance. It's how pleasant your experience of life is right now, how fullfilled are you, how joyfull are you. Look at a child when in ecstasy and think what you are lacking from being like that all the time... There won't be any reason to compare to others, she is cute that is nice, but in the end it doesn't matter, is she happy? I would like for people to be happy around me so why would I be jealous. I don't need materialistic things to be happy but if you do then at your moments of joy I am happy for what you have...

@Leo Nordin Thanks, I printed this one out and put it on my wall.

@Meta-Man Currently, I don't experience god-mode so I cannot relate to this one. However, permanent enlightenment is also a goal of mine. I guess for one part to overcome suffering and be happy. But also because of interest in truth.

Someone who believes they are not worthy compensates for that suffering by judging, measuring & comparing themself to others. It’s monkey mind, rumination, trying to ‘fix’ the feeling without addressing the belief.  But they miss they aren’t actually comparing themself, only the idea of themself. It does not feel true because it is not true, and feels like suffering because of the discord with The Truth, until the belief in “worthy” and “unworthy” is inspected, transcended & intrinsically surrendered.

Yes.

Did you overcome it and if yes, how?

Yes. Meditation every morning. It was realized attachment to thought was the issue, not to ‘things’ per se. “Worthy & unworthy” are thoughts I identified with, limiting beliefs.

No mind isn’t per se a mindset. Mindset is like ice cubes, no mind is water.

This is genius, thank you so much! The issue really seems to be a feeling of being unworthy. I felt into it and something changed. It was like nothing had a meaning anymore and I didn't try to compensate for unworthyness anymore. It was like a numbness where it was not possible to think about or feel hurt by "others". However, like everybody became uninteresting because it felt like all people live according to the same ego-pattern. So no one was special and only feelings remained. It was like I wasn't affected by anything anymore and didn't care about the future or past. I tried just for the experience to grasp what no mind feels like. Then I was close to a mystical experience. One night duality mostly resolved. I had countless mystical experiences without psychedelics including seeing UFOs, k-hole, kundalini, non-duality and physical manifestations of ghosts. However, this was really weird, because my sense of reality changed dramatically for two days to some kind of nihilism but wihout a bad feeling behind, some calm feeling and I thought maybe I will become emotionally numb forever or something. So I trained myself to become angry at people again :D I guess this was spiritual avoidance. But I am not sure.
