If Love = Being / Conciousness, why isn't it always present in my experience?

It is. You're just afraid of it.

You are finite consciousness right now.  Absolute Love is Absolute Infinity.  You can experience finite love in finite form.

Love is the substance of reality :)

Aye, the finger is always the hand.   But it is conscious of being the finger - until it becomes the hand.

The question is really: are you willing to love something to death?

Why is it that there are states of Awakening/Samadhi (whatever you wanna call it) where there's no Love?

Why they don't always go hand in hand?

As @Carl-Richard said Love is always present as it is what you are.  It is simply that you are not conscious of it.  Just as a devil is still God.  If you ever became directly conscious of Absolute Love you would be dead.

The same way that you're not aware of it. There are different states, stages and aspects of awakening. There are states and stages that are dominated by aspects that can feel very empty and void-like, and you can get stuck there and believe that it's the end. Love tends to include an experience of light, energy, life, intelligence, complexity.

Another way to look at it is that a "loveless" awakening is when you become aware of the "space" or structure that reality operates within (emptiness, void, Shiva), and a Love awakening is when you become aware of the substance within that space (energy, Love, Shakti). Later awakenings will also eliminate that distinction, and everything becomes Love.

It sounds like you are talking about unconditional love?  Unconditional love is state of being, not a state of mind.  There is no one on this earth who constantly is emanating unconditional love.  If that was the case, nobody would have no problems.  And there is not anyone that I know who does not have at least one problem in their life.

This is a really good explanation.

It's like saying they are the Masculine and Feminine asspects of God, right?

Yes, this I have experienced, Unconditional Love as a temporary state.

My question was more about in what way Love = Conciousness like Leo says, if Love is not always present whereas conciousness obviously is.

That's correct and as pure unconditional love you could have no form because you could not have any bias which is survival - so you could not survive as any particular form.

I find that love is not the right word.  I don’t know what to call it.  Perhaps it is more about constant acceptance of the present moment?

I have never thought it that way.  But that’s true, in this world if you were in fact unconditionally loving 24/7 you would be eaten up alive.  That’s why we all have boundaries.

That is one way to look at it, yes. The true "goal" though is to realize total unity, total Love, and that requires immense acceptance, trust, and surrender. Complete erradication of all boundaries, all distinctions, all separation, all resistance, all fear. That means you have to have to literally give up your own life to God. With that said, having a physical body is fine ;)

Well, in my daily life I would say I've progressed a lot in embodying Love, as I feel it quite strongly troughout the day.

But I haven't realised it to be equal to God yet. My awakenings are always more Void-like.

Yes it begins with embodying selflessness in your everyday life.  Try to be a little less selfish each day.
