What Is Sociology?

Im going to study it on University next month, hope it will be interesting, but Im sure it will

I study it as well... it is quite fascinating to see the history of the sociological thinkers/schools and how they draw upon each other, how they react to their social/historical context, how different their conceptualizations are (reflected in epistemological and ontological assumptions) and just how these perspectives have percolated into societies.

To study this in detail though is very extensive and requires a lot of time.

Yep, you could probably choose one sub-field and study that for the rest of your life, its very broad. Conflict theory i.e Marxism grew out of that and people devote their entire purpose to studying that. 
 

If Leo just skimmed the surface that would be enough to blow open alot of peoples minds. It blew my mind open for sure.
