Enlightenment Management; While Chopping Wood And Carrying Water

5 posts in this topic

I will do my best to keep this note in a structure that is easy to comprehend for all viewers. After all… I do not have to say anything to anyone who has already reached enlightenment.

I chuckled a little bit when this site came in front of me  ?

I thought… "What the hell"  and I know that I created it so there is surely something for this aspect of myself to give.

I have been enlightened for about four years now and in the beginning I did get past the point of suicidal tendencies and the immediate boredom of chopping wood and carrying water once more.  I live by the Gulf of Mexico… Actually I live right on the beach and there were many nights where I thought " now you did it! You just went ahead and had to find the absolute truth! There is nothing else… Why not just walk into those waves and complete yourself!"

I don't even know why I am writing this other than I hope it does ease the mind of another who is going through the same thing  right now.

I find myself staying here because I am really interested in coming back and looking at things from the boxseats and dancing through this platform, this game land with much more ease than I had before.

I was all jumbled up to begin with. I had mixed up manifestation with enlightenment and I thought getting to a certain point would give me more power to do more things. I realized in the end  that manifestation and enlightenment are two different things and one is not the benefit from the other.

I guess to sum it up, the purpose of this post is to help individuals differentiate between enlightenment, which is absolute bullshit ? and coming back into the same so-called reality you had before with different eyes  expecting some sort of big change without learning how to manage your new environment.

I call it " enlightenment management".  You have to constantly bring yourself back, if you desire, to the place where you understand that none of this is real,  and at the same time understand that you are creating all of this so you may have the upper hand in what happens next.  It's a delicate dance and it takes some getting used to but if you want to stick around then that is exactly what you are here for. What is the next game you want to play?

I dont know about enlightenment but I do the same thing you mentioned, go to live alone in peace in nature then return to society. I come back when I am invited to help people. I learn alot and have different experiences but there is really no one to connect with only compassion to develop. And all I can really  learn is just my own fantasy about what is real. Pure  experience in not boring, being distracted from it is. I am learning and still developing here getting more comfortable with the state of people and society. I dont know why I do it. It doesnt matter though all situations are equal, so enjoy what comes to you, there is no limit when you are free of obligations.

‘As I see your current practice, you are like a heretic and entirely on the wrong path, having wasted ten years’ training. If, by staying in a grotto and drinking water from mountain streams, you managed to succeed in living ten thousand years, you would only be one of the ten classes of Rishis (immortals) listed (in the ‘fifth false states’) in the Surangama Sutra8 and still be far away from the Dao. Even if you managed to advance a further step, thus realizing the ‘first fruit’,9 you would only be a ‘self-enlightened fellow’ (Pratyeka Buddha). But as for a Bodhisattva, his quest is for Buddhahood from ‘above’ for the conversion and liberation of living beings here ‘below’, his way being to pursue self-liberation for the liberation of others, leaping to the supramundane plane without fleeing from the mundane.  Dharma Master Yang-jing
