Consciousness Problem?

So I tried to answer last night a question from the Author of Global brain, Peter Rusell:

Unconscious matter like brain give rise to consciousness.

How does all that electro-chemical activity in the physical matter of the brain ever give rise to conscious experience?

Consider the possibility that consciousness constructed the concepts of "brains", "chemicals", "unconsciousness", "electricity", "physical", and "matter".

@30secs What if your worldview(Chemicals in the brain causing consciousness) was couched in consciousness? And its actually the reverse?
