Can ego ever learn?

Many people say that the ego can never learn or change. But what about some people who still have made some positive change in their lives? Is it grace then?

Great thread topic / question. I’d say yes, and even to the degree it can learn how it is the perpetuation of the illusion of it’s own existence.

There are an infinite amount of thoughts and beliefs as to what an Ego is.  Which one is right? 

My current and ever-expanding thoughts and beliefs of what an Ego is, is as follows; The Ego is nothing more than a limited defined conscious hard drive (For lack of a better description of words),  specifically designed to focus consciousness to this combined physical/formless dream state.  This dream reality that we are in has limited sensations and textures, rules and laws (such as gravity, you can’t physically walk through a cement wall, the 5 or 6 senses, etc.) that has been universally agreed upon and created by infinite conscious gestalts of thoughts, which have been created by the “All-That-Is” to explore and expand consciousness and awareness.

So, what does that mean? Well my Ego hard drive allows my Higher-Self, a Gestalt of magnetic attracting thoughts and Energy, to enter the game and experience of this Earth reality, or limited bandwidth of frequencies of energy.  My Higher-self decides what initial thoughts, ideas, beliefs, will be programmed into my Ego Hard Drive.  It will also decide the physical living conditions, cultures, parents, abilities, and year this Earth Self will experience.   Once the Ego Hard Drive has been loaded with all the programs, ta da, you awaken to this limited Collective Ego reality as you.  You are then given limited freedom to create and co-create your physical reality and experiences within the collective Ego boundaries and dream state that we all share and have agreed upon.

Your statement, “Many people say that the ego can never learn or change.”  There is no right or wrong answer to that statement.  Having said that, it is my belief that the Ego Hard Drive can expand the amount of thoughts, ideas, images, beliefs, feelings and emotions that are within.  As each individual “Self” awakens and opens to higher levels of consciousness within, the more the Ego Hard Drive will respond by allowing more consciousness and room for the software programs to expand. 

Can you kill the Ego?  My thoughts and beliefs are NO!  The Ego is a limited form of consciousness that is focused in this “Timeless” physical dream state.  If you were able to kill the Ego, you would no-longer experience this reality.  The Ego consciousness is within consciousness, which is within consciousness etc.  Consciousness can never be destroyed! Your Earth Experience can never be destroyed!  Every thought, idea, image, belief, feeling and emotion lives forever within the “Timeless Absolute”, even after the illusion of your physical death has been imagined.

Take what resonates, and leave behind what does not fit into your current thoughts and beliefs.  You have the freedom to choose what beliefs you want to focus your consciousness on and what gets stored into your Ego Hard Drive (For lack of better words.).
