Had the experience of where human free will comes from

6 posts in this topic

Had the experience of whether free will exists or not, and if it doesn't, well then why do humans do what they do.

And the basic answer was, the humans are not in control at all. They all literally are not in control. They are almost literally puppets.

But that feeling of each human being being an entity with free will... its such a powerful feeling that feels true. We all feel that way? Look at how much we fight over each other's beliefs. You do that because you all feel like each one has free will and therefore deserves your rebukes.

If the human you were arguing with was merely the smoke, rather than the engine, then would the need to disagree or defend your position make sense?

If you were arguing with a puppet, would arguing with that puppet make sense? When there's someone else pulling the strings?

Because if the human was the smoke, and the human was saying stuff you were disagreeing with, then whose the engine powering or thinking up the belief you disagree with?

Well its not the human, so that's enough to already seriously contemplate whether disagreeing with them makes sense.

And if you knew who you were truly disagreeing with, then you'd be even more shocked then realising that the human was merely the smoke.

Think I'm gonna stop this post here. Seems like a good place to stop.

Great Post. I think about this all the time. The illusion of free will runs deep in society. a lot of people are puppets I complete agree with you . I think the reason that is, is because of ones ignorance of their own ignorance, if that makes sense. People don't like to venture off from what they know and what they're comfortable with. Now is that all on them? I don't think so. There are higher powers I feel that push this way of thinking wether it be through the form of religious institutions, subliminal programing, or social norms. In this day and time I think that the majority will always be the "sheep" and society will forever be in a battle of beliefs, science, ignorance, and misunderstanding.

Free will exists just that it's not what you think it is. Actually your will is unlimited to infinity, there is no one limiting yourself. It is the ego that thinks it has a human form and exists for a limited lifetime... enlightenment should break this illusion. It's not just "aha, I've realized that I'm not an organic machine", it is way more radical. Those who will fully awaken will be humans no more because they will literally merge with reality as there is no separation between yourself and the space around you. The illusion of no control is a function of the ego.

I think in a level human are puppets, of animals, who act by instinct but in another level you can attract some circumstances with your deepest willing, or thoughts, like a kind of power, so you are the puppet and same time who make the puppet dance

Is there a reason to be uneasy about where you are?

Is there anything to understand or figure out?

Anything else to do?

Any problem?

I really like your line of thought.
