Good question.

@Zanoni look at your hand. Enlightenment is the self-realization that your hand is more than that, a pure miracle, this. :)

I also like how @Tim R puts it.

And what about the distinction between enlightenment and unenlightenment?

Two ways to think of it..

1 the present moment.  This is it. You are already enlightened. All is well.

2 becoming directly conscious of the ACTUAL answer to deep metaphysical questions such as "who am I"?  "what is the fundamental nature of reality"? "what is God and does it exist"?  What is Consciousness "? Etc

my mind is gone to a better place.  I'm elevated ..going out of space . And I'm gone .

@Johnny5 every human being is capable of self-realization. That's the matter of open-mindedness and desire for Truth. ??

I feel as on a mild dose of acid every day, no psychedelics for 3 months or so ;)

@Gesundheit that's a really good question.

Ultimately, "You are already that which you seek." – Ramana Maharshi
Relatively, there is a spiritual seeker for whom this pointer may be not useful at all, especially at the beginning of the so-called spiritual path.
