Why can’t rape be objectively wrong?

120 posts in this topic

As I get deeper on my journey I discovered the neutral nature of the universe and how it truly lacks meaning.
Except when another human is harming another. My brain sees this as objectively evil/wrong and sometimes I can see that it is in fact me giving it that meaning. My brain is really muddled and I feel stuck

How does the universe know that something is wrong? By who's standards?

The universe cannot even know which way is up or down, never mind right or wrong.

@Toby You are not wrong, but you're also not right ;)

It is evil and wrong, just from a relative perspective.

Whenever you assume something to be objective, you're denying the importance of perspective.

THE mere meaning of "wrong" needs a subject or a reference point.

Fear is just a thought

It's normal to feel identified with humanity at stage Green. Green is a human-centric stage.

@Gohabsgo Some people say rape is wrong, yet the rapists thinks it’s right. Others say rape is sorta wrong, yet they get off watching rape porn. Who is the judge objective enough to declare whether whether rape is objectively wrong, objectively right or objectively sorta wrong, sorta right? This is a main ingredient of religions. They have a external god that objectively decides what is right and wrong.

Hey, if you are a rapist and you want to rape someone, God allows you to do it ;)

whenever you think of something evil or wrong, see from the perspective of someone who would actually do it.

When you are a king from the middle age and you want to go on a crusade, war and violence is good.

If you are a rapist, you thing it's right and should be legalized

If you are a male Dolphin, the fuck it's totally right!!

If you are an average human (IDK about other cultures like middle eastern or Amazon natives) you probably think it's wrong

If you're the planet Jupiter, what the fuck is rape?

So, why don't we take Jupiter's opinion on this matter?

I'll assume you're a human and not a rapist. Well, well, what a coincidence that you don't think rape is right!

I think it's wrong to put a gun to my head and to ask me to draw all my money from the bank (let's suppose I have something there...). The guy pointing a gun to me thinks it's totally right as he needs to buy drugs. I think I need this money to pay my dad's insurance. A monkey opinion on this matter is the fuck is money? I just need bananas

Well, you could say "inanimate" objects or animals cannot have an opinion, or that you cannot have an opinion if you're not participating in the situation. All of those are also relative, because you're drawing a relative line between what is object and what is alive and who is participating and who is not.

I think I already went too far on this deconstruction for a simple question so I'll stop here.

Pain hurts, you cannot put your hand into fire for more than few seconds, the universe want you to survive. Is survival right or wrong? Morally is neutral. But for some reason the universe wants us to pursue pleasure and avoid pain.

If being raped hurts, the universe dont want this, otherwise it would feel so good!

The standard of consciousness, understanding, wisdom, and light.

Although, consciousness won't see anything as inherently evil, it still won't persuade someone to rape, kill, steal, or hurt anyone. Perhaps that is an assumption, but this is my experience, and I have not been able to see otherwise.

For the rapist, it feels good. Consider the rapist's POV.

If rape is wrong, does raping the rapist before he rapes someone also wrong? @Gohabsgo

If you raping the rapist saves an innocent person, does that make your action the right action or the wrong one?

Where are the high standards of this forum? Anyways rape is wrong because it's traumatic and adds weight to your karmic train. The end.

Nobody said rape was not wrong. The question is whether it is is objectively, universally wrong. This is a higher existential question than a simple binary construct of right vs. wrong.

Inflicting pain only give pleasure to damaged minds, there's a psychopathy behind. I'm talking about psychologycally functional beings with the hability to feel empathy.

Depends on the context. The pain I experience from doing a deadlift is almost blissful. Call me a sadomasochist. In the psychopath's perspective, we're the ones with the damaged minds that we allow other people to take advantage of us.

Why do you say the universe wants it? I am more inclined to see that the ego wants it.

Someone who is separate from Truth will resort to kill, steal, rape, and lie to survive/have their needs met.

Doing a deadlift is nothing like being raped against your will.

A psychopath's perspective is like that because he is deeply divided in himself. Falsehood is his foundation.
