The end times

Could the “end times” be an incorrect translation of the “end of time” as in humanity learns that time is a figment of our memory and imagination?

"The end times" is a biblical prophecy. It is the "the day of judgement", when all human souls shall be cast in either heaven or hell in accordance with God's will.

I've never known what to make out of religion's thoughts about heaven and hell. The only facet I can see is that it's an exaggeration of karma, if you think that exists. In certain ways at least karma is no more mystical than cause and effect.

But this stuff about a particular "day of judgement" and "the end times", like there will be a particular time and day God will judge all of humanity. Complete bullshit, and whimsical metaphors which are just getting rediculous. But stuff about a day of judgement aren't even seen as metaphors by a lot of folk, even though they're shit metaphors, but seen literally.

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

@lmfao I think exaggeration of karma is a good way of thinking about it. I have always felt we too the terms too literal. I believe we create heaven or hell with every decision we make in real time,  the “end OF time” would fit into that pretty well, if time doesn’t exist, we can’t go anywhere when it ends, we can only create it in the moment. Perhaps when humanit realizes that time does not exist, it creates such chaos to where the voice becomes much more obvious. We will have the choice to become nihilistic and creat he’ll for ourselves or choose heaven ??‍♂️

It’s not all metaphorical. It’s describing a very physical cataclysm followed with an alien pseudo saviour who tries to take over the world prior to the true owner reclaiming His throne. Then it is followed by complete destruction at a later time after the earth had repopulated. Every so often the earth resets. We weren’t the first and won’t be the last. All physical is destroyed, the soul does not.
