Does hearing aid cause any itching or irritation in ears?

Hello everyone,
I am now into my sixties. My hearing is getting worse day by day. It also created difficulties in social situations because I had to turn to hear someone on my dead side always. I was also unable to tell which direction the noise was coming from, which sometimes created more problems. Once I consulted an audiologist, he told me that the solution was to have an effectual hearing aid.
I'm thinking about doing an online hearing test to check whether I'm a perfect candidate for hearing aid.
Does hearing aid cause any itching or irritation in ears?
Anyone using it, please share your experience.
