Movement for a People’s Party (USA)

I have heard and seen admins and others post topics about the movement for a people’s party organized by a former bernie staffer and with the convention happening on august 30th with many conscious speakers such as cornel west, Nina turner, marrianne Williamson and Others.
 

I wanted to get opinions on who would be considering this party for an alternative to the two corporate parties. 
 

I personally like it and think it’s a great alternative to dems where progressives are neglected. America needs a left wing party badly while parties still exist. And the Green Party unfortunately has the stench of always being ineffective, already more enthusiasm and people power for this movement has congregated than the Green Party. 
 

Any thoughts? Opinions? Is this a viable solution and alternative than reforming the dem party or voting green?
