You just need to change your lifestyle. The mind is not racing, there is too much energy sometimes. You just change your life and energy expenditure to suit your newfound energy.

Never anxious. In fact, retaining makes you unable to feel anxiety, at least in my experience.

Stiff, sometimes. Edgy, a lot of the times (when I don't have regular sex), restless also.

Nofap made me stiff, on edge, not able to sleep, restless and generally a weird stuck-up dude. Not worth it.

I am not anal about my "semen retention" anymore. I don't know what I'll do when I start having sex regularly (not atm), will I retain or not, but I commit to stop being that neurotic about it.

Considering masturbation and pornography, there are things in life that are way more amazing, so the desire to do either just fades.

I disagree that MO or PMO is healthy, as people would think though. It's just coping, an emotional crutch, a bad habit, or whatever. Only when you feel "true sexual desire" should you go for sexual activity, although that is much more rare than people think/feel.

Orgasming with yourself/porn warps your sexuality, period. Talking from direct experience. Try all variations for a month, while observing what's going on, and see what makes you feel the best, then do that.

@Danioover9000 ask me whatever via PM and I'll gladly answer. The thing is that this shit can be dangerous, depending on your life circumstances. So I can't give the same advice to everybody. A common trap for NoFappers is to become anal about their semen, which deepens neurosis and can even make you psychotic considering you're doing something that's "not natural" for the body. The unconscious urge is to release, so you're tinkering with your physiology basically. This requires a trained mind, which sucks because nofap turned mainstream, there is a reason why sexual magic/tantra is esoteric. But you wouldn't expect an average Joe to retain for more than a week anyways though. But it can be really harmful, retention -> insomnia -> psychosis.

So please don't beat yourself up too much if you wank it off or cum in any way possible once in a while, once you align your life the rest will come in place. PM me whenever.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. I'm over a year no porn, have a decent retention pattern - usually release once a week. Last week I released 3 days in a row and felt let down. I had a tough week as a result. I have a lower and lower tolerance for lack of discipline in this area.

I think I should give long term retention a try. To really gain mastery over this energy.

I always notice when i go over 8 days i get fustrated. And i have done 67 days of SR. I still see that cycling has been best of all benefits. Strenght and stable energy. There is Taoist formula our there depending on your age. But maybe i miss some tips how to circulate the energy. If one has health issues, kidney issues and that, it can be harder fot them to feel good on longer streaks i supposuse, for me it was quiet struggle when hitting 60+ days but i was edging and still mentallly mastrubating and ofcourse i had sex after 67-68 days. Havent done any longet streaks anymore.

There is a point to be made that there is a fine line between overindulgence and surpression; both in excess are negative. In my own experience, trying nofap for a while is beneficial if you're suspecting that you're fapping too often and that it leads to negative symptoms (apathy, brain fog, low energy). It made me reset my habits and now I fap less frequently than I used to, and my body and mind is more functional. I believe that the habit only becomes a problem if it's excessively triggered by mental urges rather than physical urges.

The problem with going too far in the other direction is that it surpresses natural energies in your body and it makes you more inclined to surpress other types of emotions, which can make you feel disembodied, numb, uptight and uneasy. The cliche of finding a balance is crucial. Your body is always trying to find a balance and therefore you need to learn to listen to your body. Your body tells you what it wants and what it needs. Fapping is not a problem if it happens naturally as a bodily phenomena. It only becomes a problem if it happens because of a mental attachment.
