Stage Red Video: Instincts or Intuition?

In the recent video on Spiral Dynamics - Stage Red, Leo mentions multiple times that Stage Red is Intuitive.

Is he confusing intuition with instincts, or does he mean something else?

Don't hold that intuition is the exclusive domain of sages, mystics, and artists.

Intuition can be used in battle, business, criminality, conquest, and war.

Intuition is a tool, like reason, which can be made to serve whatever value system.

@Leo Gura red is very demonized. Leo more focused on unhealthy manifestations of red. he didn't balanced stage red, good and bad quality. Red is very good if it is healthy. 

red people are patriotic, revolutionary, winner mentality, fighter, highly motivated, simplistic etc. but the good quality of red is more ignored than the bad, which is discouraging for people to see it as good and integrate it.

Red is hyper individualistic. Red doesn’t have communal values such as patriotism. That enters at Blue.
