Paranormal and Supernatural

100 posts in this topic

I had a great great interest in the field of the paranormal since I was a kid..

I used to read a lot of books on the subject of paranormal from the library.

This is the most fascinating thing for me and I also feel that spirituality is incomplete without exploring this field in life.

My interest in the paranormal increased massively since I predicted my father's death some years ago and my premonition came true.

Since then I have been a strong believer in the paranormal.

This journal will record events of a paranormal nature and explore this area as much as possible

I begin with the most famous case of the Heathrow Airport.

THE GHOSTS OF EASTERN AIRLINES FLIGHT 401

4agy2h.jpg

As proven by “Large Marge” of Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure fame, there is simply nothing more terrifying than learning that the person you just met actually died years earlier. This terror is only compounded when the ghostly encounter occurs on a passenger plane thousands of feet above the ground.

Accident investigators blamed a combination of design flaws and pilot error for the crash of Eastern Air Lines Flight 401 in the Florida Everglades. Captain Bob Loft and First Officer Don Repo were among the 101 passengers and crew members who died when the Lockheed Tristar jet plunged into the swamplands on December 29, 1972.

It wasn’t until spare parts salvaged from the wreckage were reportedly used as replacement parts in other Eastern planes that the ghosts of Loft and Repo began visiting cabins and flight decks. Passengers and crew members reported more than 20 instances of the pair visiting flights in progress, always describing them as “extremely lifelike.”

Rumor has it that because the visits from Loft and Repo were so common and often resulted in cancelled flights, airline officials eventually ordered every trace of Flight 401 removed from planes in the fleet.

On June 10, 1912, Josiah and Sarah Moore were bludgeoned to death inside of their home in Villisca, Iowa. Their four children—and two friends who were spending the night—were also killed, and to this day, the crime remains a mystery. Their home is considered one of the most haunted houses in the country, and guests are drawn to it. People even pay $400+ to stay for one night.

"Tours have been cut short by children's voices, falling lamps, moving ladders, and flying objects," says the Villisca Axe Murder House website. And, in 2014, a paranormal investigator stabbed himself after spending the night. "Skeptics have left believers," adds the website.

The Hotel Monte Vista has numerous paranormal guests they can’t get rid of. The hotel, which opened as the Community Hotel in 1927—named after the townspeople who helped raised the funds for its construction—has a history of underground opium dens, speakeasies, and gambling. Today, the hotel is known for the paranormal activity that haunts some of the rooms and halls.

Guests who’ve stayed in room 220 have experienced the TV changing channels on its own accord, and some have said they felt cold hands touching them in their sleep. There’s also reportedly a phantom bellboy who knocks on doors and announces “room service,” but when guests get to the door, no one's there. One of the more popular—and possibly most disturbing encounters—is the sound of an infant crying in the basement. The hotel website reads, “Staff have found themselves running upstairs to escape the sound of the cries. Though the sounds are very real to those who hear them, there has been no information that has explained the phenomenon.”

Villa de Vecchi is foreboding, alright. Just consider that looming fog blanket! Located near Lake Como, Italy, the "House of Witches" dates back to 1854-1857, when it was built as a summer house for Count Felix De Vecchi. The family was only able to spend a few years there, as their lives were mired in tragedy right after it was built.

First, the architect died a year after construction. Then in 1862, Count De Vecchi came home to discover his wife murdered and his daughter missing. When he could not find her after a year of searching, he died by suicide. His brother then moved into the home and his family continued to live there until WWII. It's been vacant since the 1960s, and an avalanche in 2002 wiped out all the houses in the area... except this one. Spooky.

In 1937, millionaire inventor Norman G. Baker posed as a doctor and turned the hotel into a hospital that he said could cure cancer. Have the chills yet? Baker, who had a fetish for purple, painted many sections of the hospital in the color, and today, the chimneys remain that same color. In addition to wearing purple shirts and ties, he drove a purple car as well. People came from all over with hopes of curing their cancer, and many who were "treated" died.

Eventually, Baker was exposed and run out of town, and today the property is an active hotel. It's said to be haunted by several ghosts, including a bearded man wearing Victorian clothing and a five-year-old girl.

In 1892, Lizzie Borden was the main suspect for the axe murders of her father and stepmother. Borden was tried and acquitted of the murders, and guests who visit Lizzie's house in Fall River, Massachusetts say she can be heard cackling about it. Others say that you can sometimes hear a maid screaming for help, and that Lizzie's slaughtered parents stalk the grounds...

In 1890, the Queen Anne hotel in San Francisco was an etiquette school for girls. Today, it has 48 rooms for guests, though some believe the ghost of Miss Mary Lake, the school's headmistress, still lingers. Folks who stay in room 410, Miss Mary Lake’s former office, have woken up to find their blankets closely tucked around them in bed or their clothes unpacked.

According to Ghost City Tours, people have reported the loud and unexplained sounds of children on multiple occasions outside the building. As explained on their site, "both our guides and our guests reported hearing the sounds of children playing in the courtyard of the Ursuline Convent at 10 p.m. There were no children there." Apparently, the closer people get to the convent, the louder the sounds become, despite there being no children present. Some people even report seeing the apparition of a child. Ghost City Tours suspect the haunting experiences are "the sounds of the past playing over and over again," which makes no one feel better about anything.

Mackinac Island, a small isle along Lake Huron that's part of Michigan, has a very dark past. This spot is the site of a ton of reported paranormal activity — but one of the most chilling and malevolent parts of this tourist destination is known as the "drowning pool," which is a body of water with a 20-foot drop off. According to Todd Clements, a historian and the founder of the Haunts of Mackinac ghost tours, seven women who were suspected of being witches had rocks tied to their feet and were thrown into the water. All the women drowned. To this day, there are reported hauntings at the pool. "We've seen shadows come out of water that make no noise or ripples," said Clements in an interview with Midland Daily News. "We've heard huge splashes that were too big to be fish and no one is around."

I believe that it's possible to harness supernatural power or supernatural forces in life..

I also think that God is somehow intertwined with the supernatural.

What I have gathered in the last few years about the supernatural is that we get very rare and extremely few glimpses into the world of paranormal and Supernatural throughout the course of our lives.

These opportunities are to be salvaged.

And stuff that I'm working on in this direction, I have at least got a little tidbit on this

That, voice and words are very important in the supernatural realm. Like they say voices from the grave.

Also the other thing I have gleaned is that you have to be energetically resonated or on the same energetic frequency to receive the supernatural into your life.

You cannot be at an energetically lower stage and still expect to harness these powers

Some shamans are at an energetic level to harness such powers, maybe they don't have the knowledge of engineering or mathematics or maybe they are not expert marketers of medicines like the modern pharmaceutical industry, but they have something unique that nobody has, they might look tribal to others and people might look down on them, yet at least they have honed their energy levels to reach that energy state where they harness supernatural powers to make difference in their lives

Maybe they know more than we do.

This is no fantasy or fantastical thinking.

This could be true

Ghost of Sakura

Ghost of Sakura is one of the most famous ghost stories of Japan, involving the vengeful ghosts of the farmer Sogoro and his wife, O Man.

In the 17th century, Japan was ruled by feudal lords, many of whom treated their peasants harshly. Tenant farmers were assessed an annual land tax on the value of their crops. Whenever landlords were pressed for money, they demanded payment of taxes in advance.

According to law, these advance taxes were supposed to be repaid to the tenants over a period of time—up to 20 years—with interest. But in practice, some landlords never repaid their tenants and kept demanding more and more tax money in advance. Such was the case in the province of Shimosa, ruled by Kotsuke no Suke, the lord of the castle of Sakura.

When he succeeded his father’s estate, Kotsuke no Suke imposed additional taxes upon an already severely overtaxed population. The toll was heavy. Hundreds of farmers could no longer support their families. They could not sell their land because nobody wanted to buy it under such heavy taxation. Many abandoned their properties and fled to other provinces. More than 700 men were reduced to begging in the streets. Houses and temples fell into ruin.

The Back Seat Ghost - March 1959

This photo was taken by Mabel Chinnery in 1959. It shows her husband in his car with, allegedly, her dead mother-in-law on the back seat. While paranormalists believe it to be real, others have debunked it as being another case of double exposure

Hampton Court Skeletor Ghost

Security film at Hampton Court Palace has captured a ghostly image.

CCTV cameras picked up the vision at the 16th Century Surrey palace, which has a reputation for being haunted.

Nicknamed Skeletor ghost

Security guards spotted that fire doors kept opening in an exhibition area, and on one occasion checked the footage and saw a figure in period dress.

"I thought someone was having a laugh but our costumed guides don't own a costume like that. It is actually quite unnerving," said warder James Faukes.

The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall is a ghost that reportedly haunts Raynham Hall in Norfolk, England. It became one of the most famous hauntings in Great Britain when photographers from Country Life magazine claimed to have captured its image.

Corroboree Rock - 1959

Nobody knows who the ghostly figure in this photo is, but it was taken in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia in 1959. Some people think it's just a case of a double exposure, while others think it could be a spirit watching us, or something else, because it looks like they're holding binoculars.

Newby Church - 1963

Some analysts think this photo taken at Newby Church in North Yorkshire, England is a fake because the character looks to be posing too much. However, Reverend KF Lord insists there was nothing visible to the naked eye when he took the photo, and photo experts say it hasn't been double exposed

The SS Watertown - 1924

This image taken from the SS Watertown shows the faces of two crewmen, James Courtney and Michael Meehan in the water. The two men died while onboard the ship and were given a burial at sea.

Other crew members on the ship saw the faces in the water but didn't initially take photos, they went back to a similar spot and saw them again. Five of the six photos showed nothing, but this was the sixth and clearly shows the faces of two men.

Pawling Fire Department - 1988

The white figure in this photo is believed to be some sort of angel, overlooking Rose Benvenuto, who was involved in the car crash. She said it could only have taken a miracle for her to survive the crash, and lo and behold, there's an angel-like figure in attending firefighter Sharon Boo's photo.

The ghost pilot

In 1987, Mrs Sayer was visiting air airfield in England with her friend. She thought it would fun to take a photo of her sitting in the cockpit.

When the image was developed, there was a man sitting in the pilot's seat who hadn't been there when the photo was taken. A long lost pilot? No one is sure.

Amityville Ghost - 1976

This photo, taken by Ed and Lorraine Warren, claims to show the ghost of nine-year-old John DeFeo. DeFeo, along with his other brother, two sisters and parents, were killed by his older brother Ronald at their house in Amityville.

Ed and Lorraine Warren were paranormal experts who entered the house and captured this image using a camera that consistently took infrared photos during the night.

The DeFeo murders were the inspiration for The Amityville Horror books and films

Waverly Hills Sanatorium - 2006

This image was snapped in an abandoned tuberculosis hospital in Louisville, Kentucky in 2006. As you can imagine, in its heyday, the hospital saw an incredible amount of sickness and death - leading many to believe in the possibility that it could be haunted.

In recent years, it has become one of America's most popular destinations for ghost-hunters.

This eerie image apparently depicts Mary Lee, a nurse who hung herself in the hospital. The story goes that this poor woman was impregnated by a doctor who worked in the hospital but later wanted nothing to do with her.

The Hessdalen Lights

The Hessdalen Light is an unexplained light usually seen in the Hessdalen valley in Norway.

In 2007, a group of teachers, students and scientists established a science camp in Norway to study the phenomenon.

On a clear night, Bjorn G. Hauge managed to take this pic using an exposure time of 30 seconds.

The analysis of the spectrum reveals the object to be made of silicium, iron, titanium and scandium.
