Healthy Masculinity Role Models

What are examples of healthy masculine role models? What men should young men follow online to inspire themselves and develop as healthy men?

One example is Leo.

The other guy on here is the moderator Forestluv. @Forestluv he is a pretty balanced guy, of course he is matured but he has matured like fine wine. His views on women are by far the best.

Other examples are Rupert Spira and Adyashanti and Ram Dass.

I'm sorry to say but there are extremely few healthy masculine men because men don't have a proper role model to follow. They will struggle to find one. That's why they  themselves cannot become healthy as long as they don't find a proper role model

Men really need a role model.

Also a lot of men who are public figures are involved in some scandal because they did something wrong or have unhealthy character . That's why it's difficult to find a proper healthy male figure to follow.

This is kinda subjective and I think you need to know a person in depth (and in real life) to know if they are above average in terms of healthy masculinity.

We would have to define what that means exactly.

Does it mean always acting healthily in relationships with others and with oneself? Or is it healthy enough to be aware of our shadow and constantly work on it so that it conditions us less and less?

What I would look for is a person who treats other people with respect, with a "tamed" ego, who is as honest as possible and confident enough to face difficult situations without constantly avoiding them.

Another very important quality IMO is confidence as a person. A good example of this is a person who doesn't feel the need to come across as the most masculine man and who accepts his feminine part.

There are some famous people who come to mind (Will Smith for instance), but who knows if they act like that in their private life.

Preferably they should have someone in their life. Bonus points if it’s their father.

It's purely subjective. My male role model is the old man in the sky or some other dictator.

I love how women love to talk about how a proper man should be, like they have any clue and aren't partial as fuck.

Adyashanti - This man needs no introduction. :P

Mike Shinoda (founding member of Linkin Park) - This guy is intelligent, creative, funny and most of all, able to express his emotions.

Steve-O - Yes, I do think he can be a great role model. Obviously not the former Steve-O who was basically an insane drug addict, but the "current" Steve-O. He's been totally clean for a long time, he's become vegan, he regularly meditates, he owns a farm for animals and as far as I know, recently he's done some charity. That's how you go from totally crazy, attention-whore, irresponsible manchild to a useful, healthy member of society.

@Preety_India

Leo shame people too much in my opinion. Some of his videos that were supposed to help make me more depressed and shameful in the past. This is reflected in this forum because people who follow him will start to act like him which sometimes creates a difficult atmosphere in this place.

I agree for Forestluv, he looks super balanced when I read his posts, definitely a role model.

I didn't know about Rupert Spira, Adyashanti and Ram Dass, I will check out.

I agree. To be fair we would need to know him in real life to know if he would be a good role model or not.

I think Joe Rogan is a pretty healthy masculinity. he may not come across as the sharpest tool in the shed, but he has this drive to get involved in things and ask questions. Whos to say spiritual teachers are intergrated members in sociotey?
