Man, what a genuine fascist.  All his policy is based on fear, paranoia, and coming up with fantasies in his own mind concerning worse case scenario's.

I got the opposite impression of him. I could easily empathize with his whole philosophy. It makes perfect sense given the era he was born and his overall view of the world.

Cheney was simply protecting America. Which is exactly what selfishness is at the collective level.

Cheney was acting out of love.

I think both perspectives are correct.  I agree, I think he was acting in what way he thought was best.  The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
