That's the thing though, the left is going waay too far culturally and getting everyone distracted in nonsense, while the right is at least involved in any economic concerns what so ever and keeping an eye on the important stuff.
Right wingers don't really give a damn about these culture wars, this is all a left organized riot, while there are much bigger fish to fry.

Exactly! But the left has no clue what they're doing atm. Trump will take advantage of this.

Also, it's all good and fine to talk about economic problems. It's also good and fine to come up with some interesting ideas individually in your room. It's a much much different story to go out and implement them. The progressives need ideas that are seriously implementable and that are sellable to the masses. When someone on the left does that, that will blow away all the Trumpism.

Here's the thing: It's very easy for Trump to sit back and slander the left for having bad, un-implementable economic policy ideas. It's much harder for the left to come up with something that's implementable, amidst the shit getting thrown their way. The left have always had a harder challenge when it comes to getting power for this reason.
