What Is The Point Of Gathering All This Knowledge?

9 posts in this topic

All I can see as a good reason is to learn how to love. Ultimately the best knowledge helps me to see from others perspective. Otherwise I dont see much reason to learn a bunch of stuff unless its ultimately for practical and technical reasons. I think I've become addicted to learning for learnings sake.

What do you think?

I think it's very devilish to think how amazingly loving you are, because you have experienced love or whatever. Firstly because those who keep thinking and talking about mystical experiences are usually the least woke and also those who do not learn and take action according to what they have learned probably live a passionless life.

Could you elaborate?

You learn how to love by giving love.

Nothing is wrong. If you enjoy learning for the sake of learning, why not?
To see from other perspectives you have to go towards the realization who you are. I find spiritual practices are way more effective in this regard, rather than reading books. Knowledge is super important in the first stages as pointers, for the encouragement to the personal investigation.

What a dream, what a joke, love it   :x

Good point! So more self-inquiry and maybe adding some Metta practice or something like that. :)

On a personal level, it helps you to develop, although the knowledge needs to continually get more advanced to keep it going.
